Author POV
Tae's birthday was only a few days away now, and so was his heat. Both families agreed that it would be best for Taehyung to spend his first heat with Jungkook. Come Sunday the alpha's home would be left empty for the mates.
Taehyung felt comfortable enough, no signs of his heat had been present, his mini heats had ceased since the fight between Hobi and Jungkook. He felt confident everything would work out just right.
Jungkook had already preordered hundreds of roses to be delivered the day before Taehyungs heat, and with the help of his brothers they would set them up downstairs and in Jungkook's room. Everything was going according to plan.
Tae and Bogum's project was due Friday before the omega's heat. The alpha had been a perfect gentleman towards Taehyung usually keeping a comfortable distance between them. Bogum had no idea of the relationship between Tae and Jungkook, he assumed the true alpha and the omega had become close thanks to Hobi. Tae still carried Yoongi's scent in school and knew by now those two were brothers, Bogum would've never been able to figure out Jungkook and Tae were mates and the omega didn't feel the need to bring it up.
Their project had them in a flower bed behind campus picking coneflowers of different colors as samples, they needed to figure out which part of a plant causes same species of flower to develop different colors.
Bogum felt like the luckiest alpha alive, he believed Taehyung was coming to accept him more and more, and the view of the omega sitting amidst thousands of colorful flowers tugged at his heart strings. He stood over the omega and wanted to confess his feelings for the him soon, as far as Bogum knew the omega didn't have a mate.
"Say Tae, how many alphas know you're an omega?" The alpha questioned.
"Does it matter?" The omega retorted raising his eyebrows at Bogum.
"No, i just felt lucky to be trusted enough to know that part of you." The alpha smiled gently putting his hands behind his back.
The omega smiled back, he liked having Bogum around, he was always so composed it made Tae feel comfortable. "Well i didn't tell you by choice, now did I Bogum?" Tae giggled.
"That's very true, but you also didn't try lying to me about it. Anything you would've said i would have taken your word for it you know, pressuring you into telling me the truth was never an option for me." The alpha looked fondly at the omega.
"That's good to hear, thank you for keeping my secret and not trying to force anything on me alpha."
"No need to thank me Tae, it's called decency and i have plenty of it." Bogum smiled.
"Your future mate is going to be so lucky." Tae gushed. The alpha looked so handsome with all these flowers surrounding him, if Tae wasn't in love with Jungkook he would surely try to become Bogum's mate.
The alpha took those words and looked for a meaning that wasn't there. He was sure Tae was trying to get the topic of dating out there for his own benefit. "You flatter me Taehyung, i'm not that great i have faults just like every other alpha."
"You? Park Bogum has skeletons in his closet? I doubt it, we might be talking about two different people." The omega laughed.
"You keep laughing like i'm playing but i'm dead serious little omega, i'm not perfect and i hope my future mate can accept me as i truly am." Bogum was observing Tae, the omega unaware of just how love-struck the alpha was.
Tae was picking at flowers and placing some in his hair almost creating a crown. 'What a perfectly beautiful omega' the alpha thought.
"Tae do you have someone special in your life?" The alpha wondered.
