I'm absurdly sensitive
and yet I go on doing
Some people thought I needed to be tougher
And I thought they knew best for entirely too long
But what have they accomplished by being closed
that I haven't by being open
I haven't found one thing
And I try to explain that without sounding mean
Or proud
But I am proud
I am proud to be different
I am proud to be helping
I am proud to be not the same person I was two years ago
It's good to recognize your strengths
Especially if you have been forced to recognize your weaknesses
Be proud
Contradict me
Who is going to stop you?
