Luke followed Percy, and he stopped at a door.
"Why did you...?" He started asking.
"Shhhh" Percy said.
"Listen" Zoe whispered, her eyes glazing over.
He kept quiet, and a faint melody was playing on the other side of the door. He nodded at Percy, and pushed it open.
His jaw hit the ground.
The girl on the balcony was drop-dead gorgeous, the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Heck... Even Aphrodite would be jealous of her beauty.
Michael and Castor gasped, and Zoe simply stared at her. Bianca's eyes were bulging out of her sockets.
The girl... Ok he should stop calling her that. Amy had silky, and shining black hair, that hung delicately below her waist. Even with her back turned at him he could see that she was lean and muscular, yet had soft curves. She was almost as tall as him... And that was saying something.
"She's your sister?" He asked in shock. They had the same tan and the same hair... But that was literally where the similarities ended.
"Yeah... And close your mouth. I want to hear her sing." Percy said, staring at Amy with sadness.
She took a deep breath, and started singing. He was blown away by her voice. He forgot everyone and anyone who was there, and his vision tunnelled towards the beautiful girl with the voice as soothing as a siren.
Human - Christina Perri. (A for Amy)
A - I can hold my breath
A - I can bite my tongue
(Luke and Percy get confused)
A - I can stay awake for days if that's what you want...
A - Be your number one...
(Growing sense of dread inside Luke)
A - I can fake a smile
A - I can force a laugh
(Silena and Bianca gasp quietly)
A - I can dance and play the part if that's what you ask...
A - Give you all I am..
(Zoe stiffens in surprise)
A - I can do it.... I can do it.... I can do it.....
A - BUT I'M ONLY HUMAN!!!!
A - AND I BLEED WHEN I FALL DOWN..
A - I'M ONLY HUMAN
A - AND I CRASH AND I BREAK DOWN!!
(A tear runs down Percy's face)
A - Your words in my head, Knives in my heart.
A - You build me up and then I fall apart
A - 'CAUSE I'M ONLY HUMAN!!!!
(Silena and Bianca cry silently)
A - I can turn it on
A - Be a good machine
A - I can hold the weight of worlds if that's what you need.
A - Be your everything.
(A slient tear runs down Luke's face. Beckendorf also silently cries)
