From the airship, everyone could get a proper look at the nature side. Frozen Milk had already experienced it and seen it all from the months he spent there, existing, surviving and exploiting. It wasn't a memory he wanted to remember.
The nature side was only a big large jungle, separated into smaller jungles by the toxic river. The trees were all different sized and could even reach as high as a skyscraper. And on those tall trees were buildings built with wooden bridges in the air connecting them.
If the water side seemed like a place lifted into the air by water, bright and blue, the nature side was a place supported by trees were people truly lived above the ground, it was earthy and brown.
Frozen Milk didn't bother to look at it. Just the sight of it made him despair. Instead, he glanced at the bewildered and astonished expressions of the others.
"So, this is what it looks like," Glimpse Water had tears in his eyes. Was he moved to see his creation?
"This hell hole looks even more terrifying than we both described it, father! Why did you have to make things harder for us?"
Ah, he was crying because he also was despairing.
"How are we going to survive?" Glimpse Water's tears just streamed and formed a puddle on the ground.
"Please explain yourself," Holbe still had no idea of the true terror the nature side posed.
It denied one the most primitive yet most important right to live. Water.
Because the river, the water in the world was toxic, pure acid, people couldn't drink it. The water in the water side was originally toxic too but thanks to the holy powers they acquired they could purify the water yet the nature side didn't have the luck.
Frozen Milk gasped and took Holbe's hands in his, "Oh, holy beauty you're truly a blessing."
Prota wanted to cut between them but remembered his grief and just watched while Glimpse Water got what Frozen Milk meant after a whole second and joined him,
"Ain't that right! You're the shining knight in our life!"
Glimpse Water too touched Holbe but Frozen Milk kicked him away. He was afraid Glimpse Water would return to his harasser self and had to endure the consequences.
"Father, you don't need to be jealous. I only have yo-"
Frozen Milk kicked him again.
"You know how you purify water, right?"
Holbe was taken aback.
There was a special place that was responsible for doing this on the water side, so the citizens didn't have to worry about it. In fact, most of them didn't even know the water was toxic.
"So the rumours of the famous acid water is true?"
"Yes, yes!"
"It isn't impossible for me to succeed."
That was good. Frozen Milk even thought they could use it as a bargaining chip. Regain peace with the water side and you'll get clean water.
However, the details of the negotiations had to be discussed between the kings of each side. The hero was only there to bring them to that point and would never be involved in politics.
"But if the water is truly acid, then how do the people in the nature side survive?"
This wasn't something Frozen Milk wanted to tell Holbe. The reason why the water people call the nature people barbarians wasn't unfounded. Even though most of the water people didn't know the origins of that stigma, the various rumours only made them hate the nature people more.
