It was dark by the time the party got to the hospital and Marley was sat half-conscious in the waiting area, her head in Max's lap as the girl played with one of her longer bangs. The lady at the desk had stopped them as soon as they walked in, going off on the group and eventually allowing Jonathan and Nancy the ability to go see their 'grandma', Marley had snorted to herself at the allowance but immediately turned away so the lady wouldn't see.

Which left the rest of them behind, waiting in relative silence, Eleven was stood over the two girls, reading through one the magazines as Max occasionally pointed out different clothes whilst Will was sat with Marley's legs over him, picking at his shirt. Lucas and Mike were over by the vending machine rummaging through their pockets for money. Unfortunately, they had no change.

"Mars..." Lucas smiled sweetly, stopping by her head, she lazily turned to look at him, Max stopping what she was doing to listen in as well, "Do you have a few quarters?"

"Uhuh..." Marley yawned, searching her pocket and pulling out a handful of change, some of them being cents, dimes and nickles but Lucas didn't whine, "Get me some skittles."

"Sure, thanks," Lucas grinned, jogging back over to Mike, Marley shut her eyes again, leaning into Max's stomach and smiling at the feel of her hands running through her hair. A hand tugged at her wrist and she soon felt the hairband she usually kept around it come loose, a tugging at her scalp soon following it.

"What are you doing red...?"

"I did a little braid in your hair."

"You did?" Marley smiled, sitting up and staring over at her reflection in the window across from them. Indeed she had, there was a small little braid framing her face, it looked quite nice actually, "Cute..."

"My mom taught me."

"Hmm, isn't it the same pattern of braid you had in your hair at the Snowball?" Marley continued, taking her leg's off of Will with an apologetic smile, he only shook his head playfully in response.

"Yeah, you remembered?"

"Course I remembered what you looked like the day we actually got together," Marley huffed, rolling her eyes and staring over at the boys, sorting out their gifted change. "It was a big moment for me."

"Was it now?"

"Yeah...it...it marked the day I stopped feeling so alone..." Marley muttered and Max stopped, just staring at the side of her girls face adoringly for a moment. Her mouth opened and she went to speak but Marley stood up and jogged over to Lucas and Mike, "What are you idiots doing!?"

Max sighed and just smiled, leaning back in her chair and picking up her own magazine. Will leant over the arms of the chairs, "Sucks when she gets oblivious, huh?"

"Yup," Max huffed.

"Oblivious?" Eleven asked, looking at them from her paper.

"Stupid," Max and Will said in unison, the three of them laughed together.

"Oh, come on, you piece of shit!"

"Jeez Michael," Marley chided, putting her arms around both boys as she stared through the glass of the vending machine. There was a KitKat bar stuck in its rows coil, tipping over just slightly teasing the edge. The Harrington girl moved forward, taking her arm from Mike and hitting the side of the machine harder than really necessary, something did fall, but it wasn't any of the snacks, probably something internal. "Ah...again...these things are...made of sheet metal."

"No, they're not," Mike hissed absentmindedly, shaking the machine again.

"Dude...you dented the frame," Lucas murmured, looking at Marley as he ran his hand along a dip in the metal, she threw up her hands in surrender just as the entire machine hummed and its insides lurched forward, startling all three of them. They turned to Eleven who was in the middle of wiping her nose.
