When I was a young girl and my mother introduced us to the long enduring stories of Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, Rapunzel, I remember complaining to the fates why on earth am I not living inside a fairy tale. Who wouldn't want to? The magic, the knights in shining armor, the beautiful dresses and the happily ever after. Every girl sure had their point in life when they wish they'd been princesses.

When I turned fifteen and my world widens through reading I then started to become fascinated about mythology. Who couldn't be? The immortality, the battles, the beautiful nymphs and the terrible gods. I'm sure those of you who read the Trojan War have an idea what I'm trying to say.

This story is loosely based on Cupid and Psyche love and adventure story. Honoree being a half French and half Japanese is the situation I got from reading a blog about the struggles hafus living in Japan experiences. I'm so touched by her poignant descriptions that I created Honoree as a tribute to her (I will not mention her name here). Yuuji, on the other hand, came from Naruto. Do you know the kyubii sealed inside him? I know its crazy but it just happened, and before I knew it, I'm already browsing the internet to learn more about a nine-tailed fox. All the ideas connect and tadah! Married to A Kitsune came out.

I tried to be faithful in terms of telling about Strasbourg, France, Ishikawa Perfecture, translations, target archery details and those mathematical equations. I've done research, but I'm not claiming their exactness. Blame me for every wrong you noted.

It was such a fun writing this one. It's fiction, its fantasy and its romance. But writing using the third person is such a pain in the ass. My grammar mess up, not to mention the hours I spend checking my high school lesson notes of verb agreement. It's not perfect, but I hope it's bearable.
