Nandito kami ngayon sa garden ni Mama at nakaupo sa bench namin. After what happened a while ago at dinner, Papa didn't came back to finish his food.
"It's alright Ma. Naiintindihan ko po si papa. He only wants what's best for me," nakangiti kong sabi.
"I'm sorry if we're putting a lot of pressure on you anak. We just want you to have a bright future," sabi ni mama at hinalikan ako sa gilid ng ulo ko.
Hindi na ako sumagot sa kaniya. We stayed silent for a minute and watched the stars in the night sky, until Mama decided to go to sleep.
"Sunod ka na rin 'nak. Malamig pa naman dito, baka magkasakit ka," mahinhin na sabi ni Mama.
"Sige po, Mama. Susunod lang ako maya-maya," pagpapaalam ko.
Pumunta naman na si Mama sa loob. I was staring at the stars above me, twinkling in the night sky. They look so free twinkling through the night. It is a calm night.
I wish that someday, I can twinkle like those stars again. I wish that someday, I can be as free as the stars above. Free to do anything that I want.
Pagkatapos kong magmuni-muni, nakaramdam na ako ng antok. Kaya pumunta na ako sa loob ng bahay at dumiretso sa kuwarto ko.
My weekend came to an end at balik na naman ako sa school. I really can't wait, na maka-graduate na ako. Being a college student is not easy.
"Okay class, isu-submit niyo ang inyong Thesis by the end of the month para ma-check ko na rin kung okay na ba ito para sa oral defense niyo this September," sabi ng teacher namin sa Thesis. I heard my classmates groan when they heard the word 'oral defense'.
Parang iyon talaga ang kinakatatakutan ng lahat. Including me, I hate oral defense. Scratch that, I hate Thesis. I hated it since I was in Senior High School. Just thinking that you're going to stand in front of the crowd and answering all of the panelist's questions. Ugh, that's a total nightmare!
Ang pagsagot pa lang ng mga tanong sa recitation namin sa Psychology namin na subject ay nahihirapan na ako. Ano pa kaya ang pagsagot ng questions sa orald defense?
"Remember, nakasalalay ang grades niyo sa performance niyo on how well you deliver and answer every questions that the panels will give you. I hope that you will do well, kung hindi bagsak kayo sa subject na ito, " seryosong sabi ng Prof namin.
Kimabahan naman ako sa sinabi ni Prof. Hindi pwedeng mabagsak ko ang subject na ito. If ever na babagsak ako, I will be taking summer classes. Hindi naman pwedeng mangyari 'yon kasi magagalit sa'kin si Papa at Mama.
Pagkatapos ng lecture ng Prof namin na puro lang about sa Thesis namin, may 1 hour vacant kami. Kaya nag-chat ako sa tele at tinanong sila Perry kung available ba sila.
