I was ecstatic akala ko Richard was playing with me awhile ago not knowing that his surprise didn't end with the dinner only. Mama and tita were waiting on me in the pool area "anak ikaw gusto makipag usap ikaw pa na late" mama sipped her tea. "drink up" mama passed me a cup of tea, I grabbed it and tita caught my hand holding the cup. She looked at mama and back to my hand this went on for what seemed like a long time "oh my" mama gasped and nabitawan cup na hawak niya. She stood up and pinagpag sarili niya tita and I stood up out of reflexes din "okay ka lang ma?" Nag aalala kong tanong "ah oo, eheheheh okay ako anak" nababaliw na ata mga tao dito napaso na siya tumatawa pa. "bakit ba ang weird nyo ni tita" I chuckled "Dawn!" Tita exclaimed when we all sat down again

"bakit po?" I answered panicking may dumi ba sa mukha ko? Kaya I was wiping it and their eyes widened even more kaya napatingin ako where they were looking and it's my new wedding ring. "this?" I touched it they both nodded "hehe para naman po kayo nakakita ng multo ito lang pala" I sipped some tea and they looked at each other then smiled. Weird parang kailangan na niling bumalik sa Manila the seniors are getting weirder by the day. "ah eh anak" mama grabbed my hand with the ring on "ito nga" she turned to tita "ang alin?" Tanong kong sobrang litong lito sa mga nangyayare "did Richard give it to you?" Tita asked "ah yes po" they giggled

"what's happening?, will somebody let me in on the secret already" I looked at them confused "okay okay, but let me, rather, us tell you the story about this ring" mama calmly said "okay go ahead" I sighed hindi dahil bored aka kung hindi dahil finally they're acting a little normal today. Mama and tita took turns to tell me the history of my new wedding ring, at first Hindi ko alam kung dapat ba akong matuwa kasi they were competing on whose son would marry first, naawa naman ako kay Richard at mukhang desidido silang mauunahan siya ni Von. But later on I felt like bursting from happiness and kilig. "how did my son give it to you?" Tita asked and lumapit din si mama "he asked me if I can see a future with the two of us together" I know I'm blushing "ay mare, Iba din yang anak mo ha" mama lighlty tapped tita while giggling

"alam mo Frank never taught him to be like that, it's his own tactics" tita giggled too, kinikilig din silang dalawa eh "and I bet you said yes?" Mama said. I just nodded while sipping my tea, tita sighed "Hija, I'm happy for the both of you, nung una me and your mama got scared that this marriage might fall apart and make a rift between our families. But this, this is even better than expected" she said caressing my back. "Pero I just want to let it out in the open that I never saw my son going gaga over someone talaga" she laughed "bakit naman?" Mama asked "kasi alam mo naman yung batang yun sobrang undecided lahat gusto, pero once he commits naman I know hindi babaluktot" tita re-assured me. Tita and mama doesn't know how deep Richard and I's ties to each other right now, kahit ako I never saw myself getting married
