"Let's go na daw" Von was clapping excitedly, not the right time but I wanted to coax her. I looked at her and got a hold of her eyes which she immediately broke off by talking to tito. I sighed, shook my head and let out a little laugh. Dawn, my Dawn being her moody self nanaman "oh sige mauuna na kami, see you later nalang" sabi ko sakanila "osige anak pwepwesto nadin kami don" mom kissed my cheek then tita too "good luck" she said "show them what you got" dad patted my chest "sir, yes sir" I gave him a salute and he laughed. We fight but when it comes to sports we're best buddies lalo na when I compete dad will always be the first one to tell me to show my athletic abilities. It was tito's turn and Dawn just stood in the back looking around "don't listen to your dad, Von beat him" "naman pa" Von beat his chest.
"Tito talaga oh" we laughed, I was waiting for Dawn to walk forward pero sumama lang siya when tito walked past her. Okay lang I know naman you'll be cheering for me padin, asan ba tong si Allen parang ang sarap mang lunod ngayong araw eh. We already changed into our uniforms, nasa dock na kaming lahat nag strestretching. "Richard, good thing you and Dawn were sport lang kanina" i looked up because I was stretching my legs it was Allen he was smirking "asshole ka" hinampas ko leg niya "bakit?" He was caressing his leg "napalakas ba?" "Oo pare mahapdi" "buti nga sayo, nagtampo si Dawn" he started laughing "bakit?" I stood up "kasi ayaw niya ng PDA" "ay ganon ba, nako sorry" he was still laughing "ano ginawa?" "Wala di lang ako pinapansin" i scanned the crowd to see where they are.
I spotted them she was talking with the oldies halatang sakin lang nainis, pero bakit parang kasalanan ko pa?. "Nako it looks like you'll just have to win this event" inakbayan ako ni Allen "i plan to" i said saktong nag whistle na ang referee for us to get in position. There will be 3 rounds per event, 2 qualifiers and then finals na, I think this is good para hindi kami agad mapagod since most of us joined the singles and team event. I wasn't on the 1st qualifying round yet the lake was pretty wide so there are 6 boats na magkakahilera, Von and Allen are part of the 1st round.

Ladies and Gentlemen good day and welcome to our very first event which is rowing, we have 6 mighty and mukhang super ready na participants. Ipapakilala ko na sila isa isa, in lane 1 we have Von Zulueta *crowd cheered* *Von waved*, in lane 2 its Bryan Sy, in lane 3 William Dejesus, in lane 4 Jude Kerr, in lane 5 si Vice Allen Labrador, and last but not the least in lane 6 Kevin Amador
RICHARD
Oh wow I didn't know that Marco's younger brother would participate to heck di ko nga alam na interesado pala ang mga yun dito dahil kinukutsa nila itong event ko. I can feel the excitement in the air as the announcer counted down and suddenly *boom* the sound of the starter dun it was immediately followed by the splashing sound of water as the participants hurriedly rowed their boats. It was a no brainer that Von would win pero I was rooting for Allen to come out as the champion in their qualifier just to have a big blow on Von's ego. The crowd went wild after their race it was Von, Allen , and William na nanalo. "Kita mo yun, kita mo yun" inikutan ako ni Von "chamba" Asar ko sakanya "raw power lang talaga" he flexed his biceps
"Tabi ka na nga kami naman, nagayon makikita mo ang tunay na raw power" I slapped his biceps "ouch" he bellowed. My turn to show my skills, I was stretching when our names are being called out "and of course last but not the least our Mayor" "poging Mayor" I corrected "este poging Mayor pala na doesn't need an introduction na dapat eh Richard Gomez" the crowd roared it was deafening. My heart was pounding so hard the anticipation of the starting gun's sound is making me twitch and then *boom* the moment I heard it my body did it's job and it feels natural. I was so focused I didn't noticed that I was on my way back na to the finish line, I finished way ahead of my competition. Everyone was shouting and I stood up with my hand raised in the air.
