{her}

i stared unto his face.

it was 4 o'clock in the morning, and i still haven't caught a blink.

his eyes were still swollen from all the tears he shed. as he stepped foot inside my space, he looked like a crying mess. and now, he looked as peaceful as the flowers in may.

he was quietly sleeping on the couch, while i sat on the floor, staring at him like he was a masterpiece i could only see once in a lifetime.

a few strands of his hair were on his face, so i reached for it and tucked it behind his ears. i ran my hand across his head, as i feel my lips curve into a smile.

this man just entrusted me the pains of his past. just like me, he was holding the same pain, the same sadness. but unlike me, he strived to live. he tried to forget the pain, everything. he tried to continue living, no matter how painful it was.

i sighed, as a tear escaped my eye.

how could this shining ray of sunlight hold such sickening pain?

" i wish that all your pain fades away. " i whispered, trying not to wake him up.

" i wish that all your hard times helped you earn the good ones. "
