What I Have Left

Ch.12

Once we were inside I could hear the techno music playing and the different color lights dancing around the room. 

Just being in there for  a couple second I could feel the excitement. I mean it was pretty packed full of people of all ages. I saw little kids running around playing the arcade games and teens/adults going into what I am thinking is the laser tag arena.

"This is so cool." I said in awe. How could I have not known that this existed. 

"I know right. It is fairly new, but I go here as much as I can. So I decided to bring my favorite person to come along with me." He is so sweet. 

How did I get so lucky.

" I don't know. Maybe cause I think you amazing." I turned and looked at Theo with confusion." You thought a loud."

"Oh." I gave an awkward chuckle.

"Well enough of this chit chat lets play." He said with a childish smile. I couldn't say no, not that I would, and nodded.

We walked up to what I am guessing is where you buy the tickets to play. The man at the desk seemed kind of nerdy. I mean I am a freak in a way so who am I to judge. He just looks like he plays a lot of online games and likes to play those card games that go with tv shows, but hey to each there own.

" Hello, welcome to Laser Blazer. What can I do for you today." He said in a bored tone. I am guessing he has been here since it opened and had to repeat that two hundred times a day.

"Oh, hello. I would like two all game passes and also can you set us up for the next laser tag game please." Theo said politely. I am dating a gentlemen.

"Coming right on up." The guy said as he grabbed a wrist band that has a scanner on it to get into the games. " Here is your wrist passes to play the games and it will also allow you into the laser room. The next game will be in two minutes so I would head up there now." See I was right.

We put on our wrist bands and then walked to the laser tag room. It was already pretty full and it seems that you could pick any side your on, but since we came later there was only one blue jersy  and gun and only one red jersey and gun. 

"So I guess we are on separate teams." I said to him.

"We could wait for the next one if you would like." Theo offered, but I wanted to kick his butt.

"No it is fine. Get ready for a beat down." I said with confidence.

"Oh your on." He said the same way I did before running to his side of the maze.

"GET READY. THE GAME IS STARTING IN 5....4.....3....2......1... GO." The loud speaker started. The door opened into the maze and everyone ran to get away from each other. I hid behind a neon wall and waited until I saw someone on the red side coming near me.

After a couple seconds I saw a red light flash by me so I aimed my gun and shot. I ran before the person could see me, but I knew I shot him when I heard a loud sign and a " oh for fucks sake's. I am out first again." I couldn't help to to giggle.

The game on just like that. The next thing I knew me and Theo were the only people left. I knew this because there was our jersey number still on the board above.

"Well look who it is." I turned and Theo leaning against a wall with his gun pointed at me. " Hey babe."  I was so surprised by him being there I totally forgot to shoot. 

Lets just say I lost that round.

"That so much fun. Wasn't it Noah." Theo said with his free ice cream cause he won.

"Yeah it was all fun until you won."

"Awe babe, don't be that way. You know you had more than enough time to shoot me, but you just got distracted by my good looks." He said cockily.

'Whatever.'' I said with an amused smile.
