" Get up mutt, we're ready for breakfast." The beta said before splashing an entire cup of ice cold water onto my face. The cold water bit into my skin, but I didn't say a word out of fear that it would only make matters worse. I waited until he was out of the basement to start to move.

When I heard the door slam, I jumped up from the floor or what alpha Stan calls my "bed" and opened the window. Sighing as the cool air chilled my body, I threw the wet side of my cover out of the window in hope that it would be dry by the time I came back from school. I closed the window to keep my covers from blowing away and ran to the shower.

After taking my regular cold shower, I got dressed into my raggedy clothes and headed for the kitchen where the pack was sitting for their breakfast. I ignored their looks of disgust and hurtful comments and proceeded to cook breakfast. Once everyone had eaten, I immediately washed dishes to avoid getting yelled at by the alpha and ate a few of the scraps leftover. It wasn't much but since I was rarely given a decent meal it didn't quite faze me.

When I was done cleaning, I got my backpack and started to walk to school. When I was halfway there I could hear the pack bus rolling past me filled with the normal teens. I used to be seated right there with them but after I didn't get my wolf, I was a complete outcast.

The other kids even kicked me off the bus saying that my kind wasn't deserving of being able to ride the bus. When I tried to tell the alpha he just ignored me and walked right past me like I hadn't uttered a word.

Luckily, I made it to school on time and was able to get to class without any interruptions. Obviously my luck had run out because the only seat available was in the center of the room. This was where the students that were at the peak of popularity usually sat. So you can imagine the looks on their faces when I sat down. I sunk into my seat to somehow make myself invisible and prayed that they would give me a break today.

"Abigail, can you please give me the answer to this equation?" My algebra teacher asked. My head snapped up as I heard my name and the snickers of my fellow classmates. "Ummm I dddon't know," I stammered out making myself look more like an idiot than I already felt.

Now don't get me wrong I'm a pretty intelligent girl. Straight A student as a matter of fact. It's just I hate speaking out in front of people. I like to stay to myself away from all of the bullies. The less attention I had on me the better.

"Anybody else want to take a shot at it?" my teacher asked obviously annoyed by my lack of an answer. "x equals 12.7." I heard someone say. "Correct, good job Mr.Tates." "Now for the rest of the class period you may talk among yourselves while I grade your tests," he said while wandering back to his desk.

Not after a second of the teacher sitting at his desk they were at it again. "Hey Abigail I love your outfit today," Amber ,the alpha's daughter, said with a smile one her face. I knew what they were trying to do they do this everyday. See how far they have to push till I break. "Yea where'd you get it?" Her minions asked. I looked down shamefully at my attire. It's not my fault I didn't have any money. Also alpha Stan said a pup like me didn't deserve a wardrobe and everytime I asked my parents for money they'd laugh in my face at how worthless I was . So I had to make do with what I had.

"Awww is the little pup going to cry?" Taunted Amber and her followers. If I didn't have anyone's attention then I sure had it now. I shrank back in my seat as the entire class burst into a fit of laughter. To make matters even worse the teacher didn't even acknowledge the noise he just sat there as if nothing was happening .

"Just pathetic"
"Worthless "
"Slut"
The venomous words just kept coming and biting into my head.

The bell sounded signaling lunch period. As usual, I was the first to get out of my seat dodging extended feet as I passed by. Finally I can get some peace. I sighed as I sat down at an empty table at the back of the cafeteria. But boy was I mistaken as I saw Amber and her friends strutting towards my table, each with an individual smirk.
