Story Inspiration:
This book was inspired by the nearly three years I lived in Kissimmee, Florida as a young mom with my husband. When we first moved there our only child at the time was about the age of the main character's son. A lot of the places they go are influenced by my time there. In this story, her grandmother's apartment complex is reminiscent of the one we lived in temporarily after finding out the house we bought was eaten up with termites and structurally unsound. Crazy, right? I will say, God protected us financially, and after 18 months of a lawsuit, we got back the money we had spent on the house and legal fees. Back to the story. Just like my main character, I too met a mysterious man at our apartment complex. And for the record, I wasn't interested in him like the main character. At the end of the book, I'll share the real life part that was the catalyst for this story.
