Chapter 4

Kogami woke up several hours later with a splitting headache. The man groaned and opened his eyes to a familiar scenery. Blinking a few times to remove the haziness in his mind, Kogami finally realised that he was in his room.

At first he was confused but slowly bits and pieces of memories came to his mind and he recalled what happened to him. The large house, the dead body, the girl and their deal, everything came to his mind. Kogami, for a second thought that he probably had a bizarre dream but as his mind got clearer, he knew what happened was very much real. But he didn't know how he ended up in his room. The last thing that happened according to his memory was that he agreed to the deal and (Y/N) sealed it with a kiss. After that, he couldn't remember. He most likely was drugged again and fell unconscious and (Y/N) somehow brought him back to his house. He didn't know how she managed to find his address but he assumed people like her had their special ways.

Suddenly, Kogami felt a buzz in his pant pocket. He reached inside and pulled it out to see a phone type of device. He recognised it as an untraceable phone. For a moment he wondered if such devices were legal in this age and time. The buzzing went on and Kogami eventually picked it up.

"Well about time you picked up, Mister Inspector." Kogami heard (Y/N)'s mischievous voice speak through the phone.

"What do you want?" Kogami coldly asked.

"Ouch, that hurt you know." (Y/N) dramatically sighed.

"Just get to the damn point."

"Geez calm down. I only called to see how my boo is doing. You still remember our deal, don't you?"

"What makes you think I'll keep the deal? You don't have any proof that you can tell me about Sasayama."

"Proof? Oh darling, I have plenty of those. It depends on if you'll keep our deal or not. But either way, the moment you met me, our deal was sealed. Like I said if you keep quiet about us and do as I say, I'll guarantee you that you'll get what you seek. But IF you don't follow my rules, someone will get hurt." (Y/N) ended her sentence with a giggle which annoyed Kogami.

"But as I'm a kind person, I'll show you some stuff I gathered. If you're interested, come to Rosewood Hotel tonight at 9. I'll be waiting."

With that, (Y/N) cut the call before Kogami could even say anything. The phone in his hand went dead. It seemed like the device wasn't for making calls but only for receiving it.

Running a hand through his black locks, Kogami sighed in frustration and got out of bed to get ready for the day.

"You're late!"

Instantly upon entering the office of division one, Kogami heard Ginoza's loud voice.

"Yeah yeah, I know." Kogami brushed off the man who was glaring at him and sat down on his chair. Kogami was not in the mood to hear anyone's complains. He had more serious stuff to worry about.

He really wasn't sure what he was doing or if it was even the right thing to do. He literally had met the criminal division one was trying so hard to catch yet he was staying silent. He told himself that it was for Sasayama's sake but did (Y/N) really had information on the person who murdered Sasayama? She could be bluffing or maybe she was the one who was actually behind it.

Kogami sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. All this was getting so frustrating to him. But he couldn't let himself be overwhelmed. He needed to find the truth.

It was currently around 9 PM when Kogami found himself in front of the door to the room where (Y/N) had asked him to come. He had come prepared. The Dominator he brought with him was carefully tucked inside his jacket. After a few knocks, the door opened to reveal (Y/N) in a very scanty looking lingerie. Kogami's cheeks turned pink slightly but he brushed it off.

"Right on time, very punctual of you." (Y/N) smirked and stepped aside, signalling Kogami to enter. Kogami hesitantly walked inside the luxurious room.

"Sit down, there is no need to be so formal." (Y/N) said, walking close to Kogami. She placed a hand on the man's bicep and started to stroke it but Kogami pushed it away.

"Get to the point. Show me proof."

"Oh aren't you an eager one. Calm down, calm down. Why don't we loosen up a bit first?" (Y/N) said and walked over to the table where many bottles of alcohol were neatly arranged.

Kogami's patience was running thin and he decided to force the answer out of her. He quickly pulled out his Dominator and held it at her. She had killed many so Kogami knew her Crime Coefficient was high enough to set the Dominator to Lethal Paralyser or maybe even Lethal Eliminator.

But what he saw shocked him.

Crime Coefficient: 23
Not a target of enforcement, trigger will remain locked.

Kogami heard the robotic voice and like it said, the trigger was indeed locked.

"Oh my, what is this? Already betraying me?" (Y/N) said in a taunting voice, a giggle following soon after. She spread her arms out and stood right in front of the Dominator.

"Go ahead, shoot me. Kill me along with all the information I have on Sasayama's killer."

(Y/N) knew how clear her hue was, she wouldn't be afraid even if hundreds of Dominators were pointed at her.

By now Kogami was completely at a loss for words.

(Y/N) grabbed two glasses of wine and walked over to the troubled man.

"Because I'm so nice, I'll forget that you tried this little stunt on me. Let's forget this, shall we?"

She placed her hand on the gun and lowered it, bringing the glass upto Kogami's lips. The man just pushed the glass away.

"How is your Hue so clean even after you murdered people?"

"My Hue? It's always been clean. It's gets cleaner when I feel you near me." (Y/N) seductively said as she pushed her body against Kogami's.

"I know you just want to avenge your dear best friend and I'm here to help you, so just fulfil my needs and I'll help you in every way possible."

(Y/N) got closer and closer to Kogami's face before pressing her lips against his. Kogami just stood there still, hesitating to return the kiss but (Y/N) suddenly pushed her tongue past Kogami's lips and the man immediately felt something small on his tongue. Before he could grasp what the object was, it melted on his tongue.

(Y/N) pulled away and smirked as she saw the expression on Kogami's face change.

"Now, let's see what Angel's Kiss does to you, Kogami."
