meredith and ashton didnt speak in lunch. mainly because ashton wasn't there.

it disappointed her a little, because she liked ashton. she liked talking to him because she didnt feel the need to smile all the time and talk about all her accomplishments. then it hit her. she was fake. he was right.

ashton was right about a lot of things.

meredith:

youre right
[read 12:57pm]

she bit into an apple and looked around. there were girls giggling at one table, and boys leaning towards the middle of one table as if telling dark secrets. suddenly her phone rang.

ashypoo:

meet me in the back parking lot.
[12:59pm]

meredith groaned, but threw out her tray and began to walk towards the door to the back lot. she looked around a bit, and cracked the door open.

"ashton, get your ass inside." she hissed lowly, grabbing his dark green flannel and yanking his tall body inside the building.

he chuckled and leaned against a locker. "so what am i right about?" he smirked, making meredith feel weak in the knees.

she sighed. "maybe i do put up a little barrier around myself in school." she blushed and stared at the floor. "but in my defense im pretty su-"

interrupting her, he placed two fingers umder her chin. he lifted the girls head so he could look at her. "so you're saying im right?" he chuckled.

"yes i am." she rolled her eyes. "but a lot of people do."

his smirk intensified if possible. "so i was right about that too?"

meredith swatted his hand away from under her chin. "yeah maybe." she glared at him.

ashton leaned back against the lockers once more. "you should come over again after school."

meredith pulled down her skirt by the hem. "alright."

later, meredith was sitting alone on the couch in the irwin residence, while he was upstairs getting changed. she toyed around on his phone, taking selfies. she set one as his lockscreen.

"put my phone down loser." he laughed, strolling into the room.

she took one look at him and her heart nearly stopped. "put a shirt on, ya nasty."

"no." he said. "our friendship has grown strong enough."

"ive known who you are for two days."

he laughed and laid down on the couch as i scrolled through the guide. "PUT ON MEAN GIRLS." he yelled.

"oh come on i hate that mo-"

"leave."

"what?" she asked.

ashton looked right at her and said, "put it on or leave thanks."

meredith groaned, and selected the annoying girl movie as ashton quoted along with it the entire time.

"its october 3rd." he said, and she rolled her eyes.

"seriously put a shirt on."

"THIS IS MY HOUSE I AM THE MAN OF THIS HOUSE I WILL DO WHATEVER I WANT." he yelled, and hugged a couch pillow.

"no, put a shirt on."

"fine."
