Chapter 2: The Start to a New Beginning

Catra POV
I wake up to a kiss on the cheek from who I am hoping is Adora. "Good morning sleepy head." Yep, that's Adora. I open my eyes and see her there. She really is here. "Good morning." My lord my voice sounds like shit in the morning.

"You woke me up last night. I know you didn't mean to but you elbowed me in the ribs. It hurt pretty bad. I know we used to fight all the time but man." She shone a half smile but her face has a hint of concern. "But in seriousness you were tossing and turning a lot—like you were having a bad dream. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I don't even remember dreaming last night." Then all of a sudden a welcomed meow came and we were both greeted by Melog. "Hey there buddy." I start to pet them.

"I'm gonna hop in the shower before we meet up with Bow and Glimmer." 

"Okay, I'll uh, be right here." I want to join her, but I don't want to rush her into anything. Hell, after all we just confessed are feelings after knowing each other our whole lives. I reach around my neck and feel where the chip used to be. Sometimes it still hurts. I know it's gone but it's like a phantom pain.

I catch the glance of Melog. "I know you're not okay and I know you remember your nightmare from last night. You should really tell Adora."

"I know I know. I just don't want to ruin anything. Not yet at least." For some reason Melog chose me to imprint with. I don't know why, I'm a terrible person. But regardless it's nice having this connection.

I dig my claws into the back of my neck recalling last nights terrors. It was of a Horde Prime. While he had me under his control he kept torturing me. I'm used to torture thanks to Shadow Weaver, but this was a whole new level. Prime had me connected with him. He kept showing me what I wanted...Adora. He would show me our future and then right as I was getting comfortable he would take it all away. Making Adora leave me...she always left me. Snap out of it Catra. Adora came for you, just like she always has. She's not going to leave you. Just then Adora appeared.

"Helllooooo, earth to Catra." She waved her hand in my face and I took the opportunity to gently grab her wrist and pull her into me for a kiss. She is real. I can feel her. I'm not dreaming. "Do we have to go on this trip to all the different kingdoms? Why can't we just stay here and enjoy each other?"

"Because Catra, it's my duty as She-ra to help bring peace and hope back into all of Etheria. I have to help rebuild after I left them all that time after I broke the sword."

"Ugh. Fine. Let's go."

Adora's POV
I could tell something was bothering Catra but she wouldn't tell me. It's okay, Catra is a private person. She'll tell me when she's ready.

Knock knock knock. "Lets go you two lovebirds, we don't have all day!"

I open the door to see Glimmer with her hands on her hips and Bow standing beside her mouthing apologizes. "Hey Glimmer! Hey Bow! Sorry about that. We just finished getting ready to go."

I grab Catra's hand and interlock our fingers. "Where to first?"

"I say we go to Elderon. They throw the best parties and will be so happy to see She-ra!" Bow was a little to excited for this.

"All right! To Elderon!"
