Adora's POV
The sun shines through the window and I wake up. Melog is nearby on the foot of the bed while Catra is still holding onto me for dear life. She's so cute when she sleep. My eyes then find my arm where Catra scratched me last night—however, thanks to she-ra I heal stupidly fast.

Catra will tell me when she's ready. I've been telling myself that for a while now. I start to side out from under Catra when I remember what I told her last night. I told her I wouldn't leave her so I wiggle my way back in and lay there holding her.

That was until Glimmer started pounding on the door and got too impatient and then teleported into the room. "Guys! It's time to wake up! We have to get going so we can see Perfuma! Then after Perfuma we should check on Scorpia, Entrapta, Hordak, and Wrong-Hordak in the Frightzone to see how things are going there with all the Horde stuff now being demolished and rebuilt."

I feel Catra stir "Go away Sparkles!" She threw a pillow at Glimmer.

"Gah! Catra!" Glimmer starts to close in on Catra when Bow pops in and holds Glimmer back.

"Now Glimmer, you know not everyone is a morning person." I give Bow a thankful nod.

"Good morning sleepy head," I lightly kiss Catra's forehead and give her a light squeeze.

"How long have you been awake?"

"Eh, not too long. I woke up when the sun rose"

"And you didn't leave?" Her eyes are focused on the ground now.

My hand reaches for her chin and tilts her head up so our eyes meet, "I promised you I wouldn't go." Catra holds me tighter and buries her head into my chest. I feel a wet spot forming on my shirt as she's crying.

"I love you, Adora."

Catra's POV
We are almost to Perfuma's kingdom when Melog nudges me. "Hey there" I pet them and they start purring. The purring has always relaxed me.

You need to tell Adora what is going on. She will understand.

Melog's voice echos in my head. For some strange reason they chose to imprint on me and now we are bonded. Where I go they go. Melog senses my feelings and knows when I'm hurt. There's no secrets between us.

"I know. I just...not yet. It's not the right time." I reach a hand to the back of my neck and dig in my claws. I feel the pain—I'm alive, this is still real.

There may never be the right time. It's getting worse. You hurt her last night.

The memory replayed in my head as I woke up startled and saw Adora thinking it was just another one of Prime's tricks on me. I lashed out and it turns out it was real. It was Adora. Not a trick.

"I know I did!" I feel the anger build up in me. Breathe Catra. "I didn't mean to."

If you won't tell Adora then you need to tell someone.

Next thing I know my nose is filled with sweet floral scents. We must be here. I run and catch up with Adora grabbing her hand.

"Oh hey you!" Her smile is intoxicating. I can't help but smile back. "We're here."

A/N Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted on this story in awhile. Honestly didn't think many people cared about it until recently 😅 so for those of you who left wonderful feedback and inspired me to keep going thank you. Thank you for being a light in this tragic world. I can't help but think of Uncle Iroh's quote (yes Ik I brought in Last Avatar in a She-ra authors note): "if you look for the light you will often find it, but if you look for the darkness it is all you will ever see." So thank you guys for being my light. I'll hopefully be able to write more later today.
