This is chaos but we'll get through together

Hospital

"She's gonna be okay. We have her on an IV and she'll have to stay here a few days and she'll be on fluids constantly. Now she will need to stay in the bed at all times except for when she needs the bathroom" Anne nods as she listens to the doctor, holding bobo and walking into the room. Elizabeth looked so tiny and fragile that she immediately started to cry.
"Mama" she looks up to see Elizabeth staring up at her and smiles.
"Hi baby girl. How are you?"
"Icky" Elizabeth says with a pout that makes Anne chuckle a little as she sits down with Cathy by her side.
"Mama. Mommy" Elizabeth whimpers, reaching up to them.
"I know you want cuddles baby but we can't right now" Anne says gently as she puts bobo down by Elizabeth's side.
"We Can have lots and lots of cuddles when we bring you home okay?" Cathy says and Elizabeth nods, clinging to bobo.
"Cuddles at home"
"Yeah! Cuddles at home" Anne says, smiling at Cathy.
"Wanna go home now"
"I know you do. But you just gotta stay here a couple days because we gotta keep a super close eye on you" Cathy says and Elizabeth nods, looking sad.
"We're gonna be here the whole time okay?" Anne says, holding her hand and smiling at her.
"Okay"
"It's getting pretty late. I think someone should be sleeping" Anne says, looking at her watch.
"No wanna"
"Lizzie, baby. You need to sleep to grow big and strong. And so you can get better and have all the cuddles in the world" Anne says and Elizabeth shakes her head.
"Scary dreams"
"Ohh. Oh baby it's okay. Mommy and Mama are here. We'll protect you" Cathy says softly, holding her hand while Anne holds the other.
"See baby? Right here. Always" she says and Anne smiles as Elizabeth settles down and falls asleep.
"You're so good with her" she whispers and Cathy smiles.
"I'm just happy she's taken a shine to me instead of being upset or jealous" she chuckles and Anne smiles.
"Yeah. She seems so happy too" she says, noticing Cathy looked somewhat sad. "Hey. What's wrong hun?"
"I just wish my Mary was here" Cathy says sadly just as the door swings open and Thomas walks in carrying a baby.
"I don't want her. I think she should've been left with you" he says bluntly, handing her to Cathy and leaving.
