Chapter 20

Love

If everything was just a dream. It is horrible. Grace is livid and wanted me dead. Gaano kakapal ang mukha niya para gawin ito sa akin. If I am her, I wouldn't stoop that low just to get my man. Kung ayaw sa akin ay hinding hindi na ipagpipilitan ang sarili sa kanino man. That's what I did. And if Rahoul did not follow me and confessed, I wouldn't be seeing him anymore. Itatago ko ang anak ko at kahit dulo ng buhok ko ay hinding hindi niya makikita.

It was a big issue. Our wedding was canceled because of what Grace did. She was held in jail and Rahoul filed a restraining order against her.

He was so furious that he threw her out of the room after seeing her tackling and choking me to death.

Thankfully, one of Rahoul's bodyguards, who was posted outside of my room, saw her enter my room and heard my screams. Agad na umabot ang balita kay Rahoul at kalaunan sa mga kamag-anak namin.

Grace is a threat. He clearly ordered to increase my security and our son's. I was hospitalized for hours to observe for any panic attack.

Umuwi ako sa bahay ng tahimik at galit pa rin ang mga utos ni Rahoul sa kanyang mga tauhan. Even his attorney is waiting and checked for security purposes. Hindi niya ako hinayaang humarap sa kahit kanino. I am with Lucero the whole time he was dealing with his crazy ex-fiancee. Gulat ako sa nangyari pero hindi ko hinayaang mapabayaan ko ang anak namin.

"Are you okay?" Tanong ni Rahoul ng matapos ang mahabang phone call niya sa kanyang attorney.

Malalim na ang gabi at nakapatay na ang ilaw ng k'warto namin. Only the lamps are open for dimlights.

Tumango ako at kaagad na yumakap ng humiga siya sa aking tabi. He kisses my lips and hugged me tighter on his chest. Nakabaon ang mukha ko doon. That's when everything hits me. I almost died because of Grace. Kung hindi dumating sa tamang oras si Rahoul ay baka pinalalamayan na ako ngayon. My tears started to form.

This day was supposed to be a happy day but it wasn't because of Grace's craziness. Even the accident was hours ago, I can't stop thinking about what she said.

Nakunan siya dahil sa akin. Who's the father? Is it said from the past or it was for now? Napapikit ako ng mariin.

"What's wrong?" Nagsusumamong tanong ni Rahoul saka iniangat ang aking mukha para magtama ang paningin namin.

I met his bloodshot eyes. Parehong pagod ang aming mga mata. He intertwined our hands and played with my fingers.

"She said she had a miscarriage." Mahina at takot ang tono ng tanong ko.
