Rachel.
"Why are you late miss-?"
"You know the traffic in San Francisco. I don't think I need to give a furthur explanation." I stop the man from taking my name which will lead to an abrupt scandal. I was wearing a black turtle neck shirt with blue jeans, along with black shades.
"Where is dada?" I ask him. I don't like wasting time and have always believed that the earlier we get to the errand much better it is.
"He has been expecting you, so you can go ahead and take the private elevator."
Thanking the manger, Mr.Ron, I myself move to the elevator. The morning had barely started, but the traffic in SF is just unbelievable. Remo have left the city for some business ventures so thank God, I didn't have to go for the morning workout.
When I press the code for Mr. Crown's private space, I am reminded of the our initial meeting. When I was presented as the future daughter in law of the diligent FBI office Mr. Crown. It was the happiest day in David's life. His admiration for his dad knew no bounds.
The price for David's dad being the devoted and pragmatic FBI officer was paid by my David. God!
Ambulance, sirens, blood our bachelor party night. David pleading in my arms.
It was our bachelor night party, the last night of our freedom before we are bound by the nuptial rights. I was so lost in our party that I didn't know when David made his way into the room.
"Baby, I missed you. I missed you so so much." David tells pouting.
"Even I miss you Davi, but don't you know that it's bad omen for the bride and groom to meet before the marriage?" I tell by cupping his face.
"Yah, I know Rachie! But you know how difficult it is to keep my hands to myself."
I loved to hear him calling me Rachie!
"Oh! Tomorrow I promise. I won't give you a chance to take your hands off me."
"Tell me Rachie, what did you saw in me to love?" He asked me out of the blue.
I made an acting of thinking a lot, but I knew the answer, because it was transparent and was in the air.
"The way you make me feel when I am around you, the way you look at my as if there is no one around, but just me. You make me special, you bring the worst and best in me. I, Miss. Rachel Thomas gladly proclaim myself Mrs. Rachel Campbell. I want to share everything with you, I want to be at your side both during the calm and the storm. When I bear your name, I am no longer an individual, but I carry you with me. I wish to take your name till my grave."
When I look at David, he is astonished by my declaration of love. In our relationship I was more of an introvert, and he was the one who always made it a point to express his feelings. But today, the plates just flipped and he is more than startled.
"I love Mr. David Campbell, with every fiber of my body. Till death do us part." I bring our foreheads together.
