Rachel.

"Rach. What do you think about this one?" Squeals an extremely happy Sam as she tries on the beautiful wedding gown.

We were now standing in one of the leading boutiques in San Francisco, named, 'Bride's Wish'. As the name suggests, it was exclusively for the "to-be weds".

Yes. You heard me right! Sam was getting married.

Hard to believe right? Even it was quite difficult for me to digest, that finally my best friend is settling down in life.

"Sammie, wow girlie; isn'it something?" I voice my opinion.

Indeed the dress was a sight to behold. It was made up of silky material, an off-shoulder with lace working around the shoulder. It hugged her at all the right places. It wasn't revealing and did a good job in hiding her not-so-visible-belly.

"So be it. This is it. This is it." Sam literally jumps up and down with happiness.

Sam was nowhere to be seen after the beach house party. I only remember her disappear into the wash with the other guy literally showing down her neck. After that there was no whereabouts of her again. It was only  when Savio informed me that Sam was gone to Vegas, with "that" guy.

I had imagined that guy to be in the late twenties or even late thirties. But Sam broke all our expectations when she announced "that guy" to be in his late fifties.

God! We were more than dumbstruck on her announcement. And adding to our bewilderment she even went on to drop the bomb on us that she was expecting.

What is it with girls and older men?

Sam was expecting and hence she left her job as Ryan asked her to. I never took Sam to listen to someone else lead her way, but here she was sitting in a plush sofa, rubbing her not-so-visible-baby bump, with her ring finger proudly showing off the diamond ring which Ryan gave her on their trip to Vegas. We just sat down after she selected her dream dress and was waiting for it to get altered.

"So Sam, are you sure that he is the one?" I ask.

"Yes Rach! I don't know when it happened, it was just all of a sudden. I thought it really took time for two souls to unite. But it was all proved wrong until I met Ryan! He just flipped everything within seconds. You don't need all the time on earth to love a person Rach. It's just a matter of seconds or even a matter of an hour.

And he doesn't need to own the world to own you. He just needs to prove his real worth by just being himself and that's absolutely what he did. He was the true self with me. What more can a girl ask for?"

"Wow! You have changed quite a lot. I think it's Ryan's doing. I must definitely meet him." I take her hand in mine and give it a squeeze.

"How far are you along?"

"8 weeks." She declares proudly by touching her belly.

"Oh my God! And you are didn't even bother to tell your best friend about it? Great Sam! Just great. You are planning to hide it from the baby's Godmother? You are unbelievable lady." I just wave my hand in the air, faking my anger.

I can never be angry with my best friend that too when she's carrying. I am too happy and I just can't contain myself at the moment.

"Aww....come here girl." She beckons me for a hug, which I happily accept and move to her sofa to give her a tight hug, keeping her belly in mind.

"Leave all that behind, tell me about you. How's your progress?"

"Progress? What do you mean mama?"

"Oh! Really? You don't know what I meant? Really Rach?"

"No. I don't." I tell.

"Don't play with me. Cut the slack and tell how are you and Remo doing?"

"Yah...oh..that." I kind of stammer infront of my best friend.

"Yes. Remo. Your boyfriend." She states.

"He's good. We are good." I feel so uncomfortable talking about Remo infront of her.

"That's it? When are you planning to make me meet him?"

"Haaa." I stammer for the second time of the day.

"Don't tell me that you are not bringing him for the wedding?"

"What?"

Bring Remo to the marriage, is she even listening to herself?

"Cut me a slack lady. Don't you dare tell that you aren't bringing that heartthrob of yours to the wedding?"

Heartthrob? Wait, what? Is she out of her mind? Or is it just pregnancy hormones at par?

"I...Hmm..I haven't really given it a thought." It seems as if I am in a stammering contest today.

"What do you mean by that you haven't given it a thought? He is your boyfriend, you are my Maid of Honor and I didn't pair you up with any other guy because I didn't want to spite Remo. It's final, you are bringing Remo for the wedding and plus even for today's wedding rehearsal."

"Sam, but..." Even before I could complete, I am completely cut off

"NO BUTS! ONLY COMES." She sents me a deadly glare.

"Okay fine!" I sigh.

"That's my girl." Sam literally screams on top of her voice, bringing undivided attention from the people gathered around us.

"You know what? I have called dad for the wedding!" Sam let's me know keeping it low.

"Wow! So I guess you guys have worked on your differences?" I take her hand in mine.

"Kinda. Not really. I didn't want him to stay totally unaware of the fact that his only daughter is getting married."

"Aww! I am so happy for you."

Wait! Did she say dada? Did she really mean that dada was coming for the wedding?

No! No! No! It can't be happening. Or is it?

Now I am dead for sure!

Because, dada and Remo is going to be a combination made in hell.

It's gonna be just as bad as how a margarita tastes after a cup of coffee.

Whoah! That wasn't even a comparison.

Really? I am losing it! The very thought itself gives me goosebumps.

What will I do now?

One thing is for sure! That I am dead, no matter what!
