Rachel.

Antonio,CEO of People's Shelter was discussing about the recent child abductions happening around the city. I was an active member of this NGO and spent most of my free hours for the upliftment of it.

The trauma that the poor children undergo is well known to me. Freedom loses it's course of flow for an individual when our fellow beings are deprived of it. Thinking of this,I was taken back to the incident in the pub and this very thinking took me to my saviour. Remo.

I was broken out of my trance when Antonio called my name twice and asked me to stay back after the meeting. I flushed.

When the meeting was finally dispersed, I walked upto Antonio.

"Rachel, are you okay? You seem ah..a bit off today? Is everything fine?"

"No Antonio,its just work tensions."
I lied right through my teeth.

Antonio Mackenzie, was a man of vigor and substance. Although, thirty he was capable of bringing any lady weak on her knees with his good looks and charms. His dealings, called for media attention and that made People's Shelter one of the most sorted out one in the city. He was kindhearted and took upon himself the well being of his fellow beings.

"Rachel,I really need your help in this matter. If the sources are to be believed,we need to evacuate the kids as soon as possible from the torture. If you know anyone who is in any special forces, this would help us ease a lot of our work."

"I'll try Antonio, I am not giving any false hope. But ya,I'll give my best shot."

I don't know what came into his mind to ask me for this kind of a help. But I really wanted to help the kids.

Weekend passed by with the blink of an eye. I was still feeling bad that I couldn't thank my saviour enough.

With all these thoughts, I got out of the building and was making my way to the supermarket on foot. As I had a morning shift,I was free for the rest of the day.

Walking down the lane smoothed my heart. I could see people returning from their daily chores and retiring to the comfort of their houses. While I was walking I could see many men distributing pamphlets. People were busy reading it and seemed excited. One reached my hand too. The pamphlet read as,

THE MOST AWAITED CAGE FIGHTS OF THE YEAR.

REMO FALCONE Vs ROCCO SCUDERI.

@ 7 AM IN ROGERS'S ARENA.

Geez,it was Remo my Saviour. They showed both Remo and his opponent whom I recognized as Rocco Scuderi the drunkard!

All of a sudden I felt numb,it felt as if the entire world came to a standstill. Or was it my thoughts alone that came to a halt? My breath was stuck in my throat for seconds, which felt like hours.

At last, when I was brought back to reality I made my mind. Yes,I was gonna thank my Saviour whether in a cage or a zoo, it didn't bother me.

Making up my mind,I moved to find Roger's Arena. When I asked people for the directions they looked at me as if I was out of my mind.

Roger's Arena was famous for it's cage fights and people who often made it to the cage willingly, called their deaths upon themselves. It was under the ownership of the Capo. Little did I pay attention for who the Capo was or what he had do with the Arena.

Roger's Arena was a nondescript building, with a small red sign with its name in bold letters beside a steel entrance door. There was a huge crowd gathered infront of the entrance. My eyes didn't find a single soul whom I could call decent.

I quickly wrapped a scarf around my head and even covered my mouth revealing only my eyes. If anyone was to spot me here my doctor's reputation could be washed away like the sea washing away the sand castle.

The people were bidding their money on the best participant. When my turn came without a second thought I gave my two hundred dollars for Remo Falcone. The bidder blinked twice before taking my money and I suddenly found all the eyes around zeroing on me. But little did I care that I was making a good show to the audience around me.

When I entered the Arena it broke all my expectations. It was a huge hall with a breath taking chandelier hanging in the middle of the huge hall. The hall reminded me of Hogwarts. There was a bar counter on the right side. But my eyes were drawn to an enormous fighting cage in the center of the humongous room. The floor was tiled with marble and the walls were fenced into a wired mesh.

There were tables for the audience to witness the fights and few booth that was equipped with comfortable leather sofas.

The guides made me to get into one of the booths which was already occupied by three other men wearing suite. Although their looks intimidated me,I didn't show any signs of weakness, and turned my attention to my surrounding.

The fight was about to begin. The blowing of the first siren indicated the entry of the rivals. From the left end,I could see the red bulb above the wooden door;going off and Rocco marked his entry by banging the door hard. The drunkard!

People were cheering and whistling around him. Rocco, was huge, to me he resembled a beast. It seemed as if he was the rebirth of Goliath himself. He didn't seem to be an easy opponent and my heart seemed to stop, thinking of the way he was nudging me at the pub.

But my heart resumed its function when it heard its Savior's name. Remo. Remo Falcone. For some unknown reason,my whole being felt at peace as if it was destined for me to be here and witness this match.

Unlike his opponent, Remo was composed. His eyes were devoid of any emotions. But I recognized those emotions,it was purely of bloodlust. The unruly crowd went mad on seeing him. The cheering and whistling was on another level for Remo. My heart missed a beat when his eyes met with mine.

Although I was fully covered revealing only my eyes, he recognized them. Just as a river meets the sea, his eyes found its home. He didn't flinch or blink. His eyes never left mine. Goosebumps broke over my entire body.

The final siren was given by the referee to begin the match. It was only then that his eyes left mine.

The fight was bloody. Rocco prowled on Remo and hit him hard with all his might. But Remo with one swing brought him on his knees. The cage was no longer shining but was stained red with blood. Both of them were injured beyond means. Rocco fisted his hand into a ball and hit Remo so badly that a jet of blood was splashed all over the cage.

My eyes were prickling with tears. My stomach twitched itself into a knot. It felt as if someone had punched me hard. Bile rose upto my throat. The men with me in the booth were giving me weird looks.

Through the cage Remo looked at me as if to imply this is all for you. And he turned back to his opponent and I understood that there was no more turning back for him His eyes turned wild with only one urge..the downfall of Rocco.

He flipped himself easily from the ground and landed on his knees on Rocco's chest and gave him hard punches that made Rocco see stars. He punched him, kicked him. Until the body became lifeless.

I couldn't take it anymore and made my way through the crowd. On reaching the wash, I threw up. I threw up till I emptied my stomach. It wasn't easy for a doctor to witness the death of a person. My heart was beating frantically. My whole body began to shake.

Oh my God! Where have I landed.
