Mari's POV

I opened the door and sighed in relief. It was just Adrien- ADRIEN?!!
"Hi.." He said blushing. I looked confused and then realized I didn't tie my robe.
"I am so sorry!" I squealed and tied my robe.
"Don't be. I came in the middle of the night." Adrien smiled awkwardly.
"Do you need anything?" I asked.
"I left my coat here." Adrien said.
"Oh, well come on in." I said pulling the door open.

I stood by the door as he searched for the coat. I heard one of my love bugs crying and walked into the nursery and picked up the crying baby. Little Emma was crying, she was hungry. I walked back into the kitchen, got a bib and a bottle, and sat down on the couch. Adrien was looking at me confused but I didn't care.
"Can you hand me that blanket?" I asked.
"Alright." He said in a confused tone. He gave me the blanket, I covered my shoulders and Emma's head.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"I'm feeding." I muttered.
I then put the blanket around Emma and started to feed her.
"You babysit at night?" Adrien questioned
"Uh, yeah." I said awkwardly.
"Cool, can I see the baby?" Adrien said intrigued.
"Yeah, her name is Emma." I smiled and pulled the blanket out of Emma's face.

Adrien sat down next to me and stared at Emma in awe. I smiled, this made me want to tell him "Hey you're her dad," but it would ruin the moment. I sighed and held Emma towards him. He grabbed her, still in awe.
"How do you hold her?" He asked, only taking her eyes off her to look at me.
"You get your arms and put them like this. That way you're supporting her head." I demontrated.
"Oh okay. Like this?" He questioned.
"Just like that." I smiled and then got up. "I will be right back."
I went into the nursery and got Louis. I came back and sat next to Adrien.
"This is Louis." I smiled and whispered.
"They look so much alike. Are they twins?" He asked.
"They are twins. They are very beautiful babies." I said smiling.
"They sure are. The parents must be happy." Adrien chuckled.
"They have a single mom. They've never met their dad." I explained.
"That's sad. What happened to him?" Adrien questioned.
"Nothing, she just never told him. He is with another lady you see." I sighed.
"I think she should tell him. If it was us in the situation I would want you to tell me." He stated.
"I think she should tell him too. She is just afraid of what will happen." I said looking at him.
"You seem to know their mother well." Adrien chuckled.
"I do, she is very close to me." I chuckled.
"Louis's eyes are a cool green color. They look like mine." He laughed.
"Heh, they do." I smirked.

I yawned and we put the babies back in their cribs. Adrien was too tired to drive soI offered to pay for a uber but Adrien declined. The couch would be too small for him, so I offered him my bed and I sleep on the couch. He refused to let me sleep on the couch and I refused to let him sleep on the floor.
So there we was laying next to each other, staring at the ceiling.
"Well this is awkward." I said looking over at him.
"Sure is." He chuckled awkwardly. He then turned to his side, facing me.
I turned to face him.
"So..." I started while looking into his eyes, and I had a flash back to the last time we was in the bed together. "Oh jeez."
"What is it?" He questioned.
"It's nothing." I said turning red.
"You're a bad liar." He laughed.
"I knoww. I just remembered something." I giggled.
"Tell me. You're laughing so it has to be funny." He persuaded.
"Well...I just remembered how awkward it was the last time we were in bed." I giggled even more.
"...I just remembered too. Gosh, we were so awkward and it was an eventful night." He chuckled.
"Sure was, you kept asking me, "Are you sure you're okay?" and if I made one uncomfortable sound you got so concerned" I said as I bust out laughing.
"Hey! I was very worried! It was your first time, I wanted to make sure you wasn't in pain!" He lectured as he turned red.
"I know, I know. You're too caring some times." I blushed and smiled.
"I never asked you, but did you enjoy your first time?" Adrien asked awkwardly.
"I did. I've never done it after that night so I don't know how much better it could get." I awkwardly told him.
"Oh. Well, I enjoyed my first time. It was nice and it was with someone I loved." Adrien smiled awkwardly.
I felt my heart break a little bit. The word "loved" is what broke me. I knew how much I tried to denied that I still love him, but deep down I do.
"Same for me. I have a question for you." I said propping my head up on my hand.
"Ask away." He smiled.
"Well, I was wondering why you broke up with me." I sheepishly said.
"My dad had arranged for me and Kagami to be married, but I didn't want to hurt you. So I broke up with you, hoping that you would move on." He explained.
"Oh.. so it wasn't because you didn't love me anymore?" I asked bluntly.
"No, that's not the case at all." Adrien said as the smile on his face widened.
"Oh ok." I said turning onto my back and closing my eyes. "I am sleepy."
"Me too." Adrien whispered.

I dozed off after that and woke up at 8:56 because one of the babies was crying. I felt a body behind me and an arm around me. I panicked at first but then remembered Adrien was here. I slowly moved his arm and got out of bed. Louis was crying so I changed his diaper, fed him and let him play with his toys. I changed my clothing before going and cooking some breakfast. Adrien walked out of the bedroom, rubbing his head and yawning.

"Morning!" I smiled and put a pancake on the plate.
"Morning, it smells good." He said as he walks towards the island.
"I made pancakes for us." I said sliding a plate towards him.
"Looks delicious, when will their mother be here?" Adrien questioned and sat down.
"Oh uh, sh-she doesn't come to get them until later." I stuttered.

A few minutes later

Adrien ate the pancakes and helped me care for the babies before he left. When he left I felt like I could breathe.
