Bug Man - Adrien's POV

The past few months have been stressful. I feel bad for leaving Mari with no help, but Paris needed me. With no more Ladybug, I had to take over the duty. Hawkmoth had disappeared for a bit and seems to decide to come back when I desperately need to leave Paris.

Not only am I have to be Bug man (lol, I couldn't think of a name.) I also have to deal with schooling, work, maintaining a relationship with my kids, and keeping up my social life. As if life wasn't complicated enough for me.

Ever since Kagami died, I hadn't really had any relations, other than Marinette. I have been talking to this girl who recently moved to Paris from America. She's really nice and full of life. Blonde hair, brown eyes, and pale skin. Although I loved Marinette once, I can tell that she no longer would like to continue a relationship with me.

I could understand from her point of view, it was just hard to get over her. Which I am fully over it now. It wouldn't be right for me to tie down Marinette to me, especially when she don't feel the same way. That's why I try my best to comply with her.

Soon I had to escape from my thoughts. Taylor was sitting on my couch, talking up a storm. I tried my best to pay attention to her and listen, but I had too much on my mind. Before I realized it Taylor was flirting with me. Of course I responded to her, it felt wrong though.

After a while the sun started to set and Taylor left. I finally had time to actually sit down and work on my school work, so I did just that. I had work at 9:25 AM, so I worked until about midnight before heading to bed.

When I woke up that morning I immediately started getting ready for work. My father refused to support me since I didn't support his decisions on the arranged marriage. As soon as my work day was over I messaged Mari, offering to watch the kids if she was still in Paris. She responded quickly and said she was bringing them on over. As I waited for Mari to arrive I cleaned up my place a bit. Just when I finished cleaning she rung the doorbell.

I opened the door and Mari brought in the babies. I took them out of their carriers and put them in their play pen. Mari and I exchanged a hugs, then she put the diaper bag down.

"What time will you be back to get them?" I asked her.

"Maybe around 5, depends on how long it takes me." Mari answered.

"Alright, see you in a bit." I said as I walked her to the door.

"See you." Mari said smiling then walked out the door.

I locked up and started my watching duty. I was so glad to see my little spawns again. Louise had a tooth starting to come in. They are growing up too fast, pains me to not be around them.

Sorry for such a short chapter. I was really busy this week, my school district is transferring online after being in person for months now. Plus I have a band recital to practice for as well. Besides that, hope you enjoyed Adrien's side of the story!
