I’m so bored.  I wish they would have let me stay home.  I’m usually on my own anyway.  Mom, busy with work.  Dad, on a business trip.  My brother, out with friends.  That’s how it usually is.  But today was one of those rare days that mom wanted the family together, so here I am.

I brought my camera with me.  I wanted to share some photos online so it looked like I had a life.  I really like taking photos.  I like documenting memories.  As I was walking along behind my family, I was snapping photos of the temple and some random people.  I saw a silver-haired boy about my age sitting alone under a tree.  I raised my camera and took a picture of him from behind.

As soon as I snapped the picture, the boy turned his head toward me and smiled.  Startled a little at getting caught, I lowered my camera and waved back.  He kept looking at me, curious I guess.  He got up and walked toward me.  Is he coming my way?, I thought.  He is still looking at me, getting closer.

“Hi”  he said.

“Hi…”  I responded.  I’m not very good at talking to strangers.

“Whatcha doin?”

“Oh, um… just taking random photos.  I, um... took one of you.  Is that okay?”

He nodded.

“Do you want to see?”  I asked.

He nodded again and smiled.  Wow, now that I see him up close, he is beautiful.  I guess I was staring a bit, because he asked about the photos again.

“Are you going to show me?”  he asked, interrupting my tunnel vision.  I blinked.

“Oh, um, yeah…”  I brought up my camera and flipped through the photos showing him what I took.  I got to his photo, and he just smiled again.

“You’re really good!”

Blushing, I said, “Thanks…”

“Jungkook, honey, there you are.  We are leaving now, let’s go…”  my mom called.

I waved at her and turned back to say bye to the boy, but he was gone.
