Jungkook spent the following days learning how to live and survive as a merman. Namjoon taught him all the rules and consequences of hiding their existence. Jin taught him about the food chain, and what we could and couldn’t eat. Hobi explained all about the community and how the families were tied to each other. Yoongi taught him how to swim fast, and showed him some maneuvers to get around objects and moving fish. Jimin showed him all the fun things they did when they had down time. Lastly, Taehyung filled him in on all the intimate and physical details of being a Mer.
It was a lot to learn, and Jungkook slept solid every night, worn out from it all. Of course it helped that he was cuddling his partner.
Jungkook
Weeks had gone by, learning new things, meeting new family members. Naturally I thought of my own every now and then. I know they’re probably sad I'm gone, wondering where I am. But… I hope they know i’m happy.
Tae mentioned the possibility of passing a message to them, if I wanted to write another letter someday. Knowing the day would come, when they would pass, and I would still be in my 20s.
I didn’t want to think about it. I still couldn’t even wrap my head around the thought of my own age slowing down. It was hard to remember that all my (new) brothers were over 200 years old already.
“Hey, you okay?” Tae came up from behind me, interrupting my thoughts.
“Yeah, just thinking.” I smiled and held his arms that had wrapped around me. I turned around inside them and touched our noses together. Giggling, I kissed him, pouring every ounce of love I was feeling for him into it.
He broke our kiss… then while caressing my cheek and looking into my eyes, he said,
“I Sea You…”
