Silence fell over the Avengers Compound, each individual hero mourning in their own way for their lost teammates.

Thor, the God of Thunder, was silently fuming as he felt the weight of his failure and the loss of his brother and people on his shoulders.

Steve, the super soldier, who held a picture of his lost love and despite his broken heart, remained calm and positive for the team.

However, their gazes fell to the fragile brunette who looked like a nuclear bomb that was ready to combust at any given second.

Azar was indeed a mess, her neatly tied ponytail was now unkempt strands of hair that fell messily due to the battle, her eyes red from all the crying. Her body shook from dehydration and her once vibrant skin was now pale.

"Azar." She heard her name being called, her lifeless eyes looking up to see that her colleagues were consumed in their own doings.

But that's when her heart almost stopped at the sight of him.

The dark haired super soldier stood in the doorway, his hair falling into his eyes as he stared at his wife, blue meeting brown. He gave her a warm smile before making his way down the corridor.

The halfling rose to her feet, feeling slightly off balance, before she quickly followed after her husband.

"Bucky?" She called out into the dimly lit hallway.

"Hey, doll." Came his whisper as he stepped out from the darkness.

"That's impossible.." She shook her head, frowning. "I watched you die, you're not real." She protested.

"Azar, look at me.." He cooed softly. "I'm here." He said bringing his hand up to her cheek. Her eyes fluttered closed as fresh tears fell before her body reacted, moving closer to him.

"I thought I lost you forever." She whispered.

"You could never lose me." He replied, wrapping his strong arms around her as he comforted her.

Their reunion was interrupted by a commotion outside of the compound, causing the building to shake ever so slightly. Azar stared at Bucky before glancing down the hallway.

"Go." He said before he disappeared into the dark.

The brunette stood dumbfounded as she stared into the dark. Frowning to herself, she exited the building to find Pepper, Steve, Rhodey, Natasha and Bruce looking up at the sky.

Following their gaze, she found a figure engulfed in bright light, carrying a spaceship upon descent.

The light dissipated and all of a sudden, Azar's emotions immediately changed from sadness into one of anger as standing before them, in the flesh, was her mother.
