Azar stood in the empty room that once belonged to her sister.
The brunette stared at the pictures of all the happy memories her sister had kept to the clothes that hung neatly in the closet.
An overwhelming feeling of sadness brought her to her knees but the moment of weakness was soon replaced by a memory of her sister.
1997
"Come on, Az." The 7 year old motivated as the two little girls ran hand-in-hand through the confinement of the S.H.I.E.L.D building.
"Arty, we are going to get in trouble." the youngest protested.
"Not if we don't get caught." The older girl said with a mischievous smile.
The girls ran up to the roof before planting themselves down. They laid side by side, still holding hands like the day they did when their mom left.
It was an unbreakable bond. Their unbreakable bond.
They stared up at the sky watching the twinkling lights of stars shine.

'Come on, Az' The brunette tried to motivate herself as she wiped her cheeks only for it to be replaced with fresh tears.
She stuffed all the memories into the back of her mind, unwilling to look at them. She wasn't willing to be reminded of what she lost.
"Azar.." Carol's voice echoed throughout the empty room.
"What?" Azar asked bitterly asked.
"I'm sorry about your sister but she was my daughter too." The blonde said as she tried to comfort her youngest.
"You're right." The brunette replied. "She was MY sister. You lost your daughters when you decided to leave us!" It was taking everything to restrain herself from lashing out.
"You could of prevented this! You could of protected Artemis!" Azar yelled. "I.. I should've protected her." She said, her voice cracking as tears streamed.
The blonde moved closer, wanting nothing more than to hug her daughter, bring comfort to her, but she was met with an icy glare.
"Don't touch me." Azar warned venomously.
"Azar, I'm trying.." Carol said, a frown etching onto her face.
"No, you're time for trying has expired." The young woman snapped. "Please leave the same atmosphere you came in from." She said bitterly, bumping shoulders with the blonde on her way out of the room.
After finally reaching space, Rocket turned in his seat to look at the heroes aboard the Benatar. "Okay, who here hasn't been to space?" He asked.
Natasha, Rhodey and Steve raised their hands. "Why?" The colonel asked.
"You better not throw up on my ship." The raccoon-oid warned, turning around in his seat once more.
"Approaching jump in 3.." Nebula announced, beginning the countdown which allowed the heroes to prepare themselves. "2.. 1!"
A sudden jolt forced the heroes back into their seats as the ship jumped forward into a wormhole.
It wasn't long before the ship hovered in orbit of their targeted planet, the hatch opening as Carol disembarked.
The blonde woman hovered in front of the ship, looking back at the heroes.
"I'll head down for recon." She said before entering the planet's atmosphere.
Noticing a grim look on the super soldier's face, Azar went up to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. The picture that he held of her sister did not go unnoticed either.
"This is gonna work, Steve." She said, her eyes moving to the picture of Artemis.
"I know it will." Steve replied, putting the picture back in his pocket. "Cause I don't know what I'm going to do if it doesn't."
Soon enough, Carol had reapproached the Benatar. "No satellites, no ships, no armies, no ground defenses of any kind." This caused the heroes to frown in confusion.
"It's just him."
"And that's enough." Nebula replied, giving a slight nod toward the woman.
