Azar looked towards the sky to find a bright light of thundering energy surging down towards the Sanctuary II.
The light flew through the spacecraft which resulted in an explosion before it came crashing down into the lake.
"Is that?.." Artemis trailed off as the light dissipated.
"Yeah.." Azar nodded. "It's Mom.." She replied.
"I guess I missed out on a lot, huh?" The eldest asked as she re-engaged in combat with her sister.
"Yeah." The youngest replied. "You're also an Aunt." She added, dropping the 'I'm a Mom' bomb.
Artemis looked at her sister in shock. "What?!" She exclaimed.
"Well, if you want to know how it happened.." Azar said with a casual shrug. "My husband and I--"
"Don't need the details." Artemis said, cutting her sister off as she slid under an alien's leg and fired at one behind Azar. "So, your interaction with Mom didn't go well, I take it?" She asked knowingly.
"Not at first but Carol and I are civil." The younger twin replied. "But this is a conversation for another time. Preferably when we're not being shot at or in mid-battle." She added.
The twins stood back-to-back as they were surrounded by a horde of aliens.
"I got left. You go right." The eldest instructed, the youngest responding with a firm nod.
However, before any of them could act, their mother swooped in and took out the horde.
"Look who showed up to the party?" Azar announced.
"Civil, huh?" Artemis asked with a smirk, earning a shrug from her twin.
"This is me being civil, sister." Azar replied, smirking back before looking towards their mother. "But at least this time she came when the battle was still ongoing." She added.
Carol frowned at her youngest's words "Trust me.. This is her being nice." Artemis said in comfort which caused the blonde woman to turn her attention to her eldest.
"Artemis.." She whispered, finally seeing her eldest child after 27 years. "You did a good job." She said with a soft smile. "I am so proud of you."
The eldest twin gave her a small smile. "I tried.." She replied.
Before anything else could be said, Steve's voice rang out over comms. "Danvers, we need an assist her."
Carol landed near Peter, who hugged the gauntlet tightly with his body. "Hi.." The teenager said. "I'm- Peter Parker."
"Hey, Peter Parker." The blonde woman replied, eyeing him in amusement. "You got something for me?"
The teenager got up with a groan and looked at the charging army. "I don't know how you're going to get through all that.." He said as he handed the gauntlet to her.
