It was only a week left until the Prom and 2 weeks until the Musical, preparations for the musical have been an ongoing thing for the last week and a bit, whether they were happening at lunch or after class, Cheryl was practising at home and helping me since she couldn't always go to rehearsal as she was also helping prepare for the prom. 

Jughead and I continued to work on the situation with the gargoyles and following any possible lead that we got, although they didn't help much. We had come to the conclusion they Veronica knew something we didn't, or that she knew something we did and was pretending not to know, whatever it was we wanted to get to the bottom of it. 

"So what do you think will happen during prom?" Jughead asking me as we laid on my driveway staring up at the clouds. "I don't know, Cheryl will get prom queen, if she doesn't then she will throw a tantrum, and as for prom king, maybe Archie? or Reggie?" I said softly, this was one of the time where Jughead and I were both free and we had nothing we had to do so we could just relax in each other's arms. He nodded "I think it would be cool if you got Prom Queen" he chuckled softly and began imagining what it would look like, "Well if I get Prom Queen I want you to be Prom King"  "no, I wouldn't be able to stand on the stage and accept it, id probably stand there shocked that they called my name". I shake my head "don't be stupid Jug, you'll make a great king, I'm sure of it," I lean over and kiss his cheek, he smiled. 

It was times like this I loved, where we could be carefree with each other with no judgement what so ever.

Meanwhile,  we had no clue what would go down in the next couple of weeks.

 BETTY POV

Like always I was sitting with Kevin in the student lounge helping him with prom prep, we exchanged small talk, nothing really out of the ordinary, then Y/N came into the convocation. 
"So Betty, why do you think Y/N moved back here all of a sudden? wasn't she living in an expensive apartment in the city, why would she drop everything and just come here?" 

needless to say, those questions shocked me as I didn't know why he'd want to ask them "why are you asking?" "I'm just curious," he responded, I shrug thinking nothing of it. "Well I'm pretty sure she moved her to be closer after Jason's death" he nodded "Was she here when he was killed?" I nodded "Yeah she came here for a week or so beforehand so she could watch Jason's grand final game, then well he went to the game and he got killed a few days afterwards". "alright, well how do you know that?" he raised an eyebrow "Well she came and stayed at my house, and since she wasn't a Vixen because at the time she didn't go to the school we went to the game together" Kevin nodded "thanks betty, that's all I wanted to know" I nodded softly "well why did you just ask her yourself?"  "its a touchy subject, I figured she wouldn't want to talk about it, especially with that fact that her own father was responsible,"  he stood up "well I should get going, ill see you tomorrow" he grabbed his things and left. 

 the things he asked made me sit back and think why he was asking those sorts of questions, and why he just didn't ask y/n directly, they are friends as well so I'm sure she would talk to him about it or shed tell him that she was uncomfortable with the questions being asked, Kevin would understand her situation if that was the case, I mean, Jughead did write a whole paper about the murder so why didn't he just ask him if he wanted more information and more in-depth answers.

KEVIN POV

After leaving Betty I felt the guilt sink in, I don't know why I agreed to this, it was good pay but I talking about a close friend behind their back was wrong. I go to where they said to meet and once I get there I see them sitting at the table, right as we discussed.  

"Veronica, I got the information you asked for." 

Hey! author here, If you didn't know I started writing a new story, its called ' My Omega ' its a BTS X Jimin story, so if you like Bts you should check it out :)  it currently only has one chapter, but these chapters I want to make long, around 1000 words each, so I will update soon, hopefully, I should start to make a schedule with my updates on both this book and that one.
