I speed after Stiles in my car groaning as he slammed on the break suddenly making me do the same. I turned off the engine of the car and climbed out of it, closing the door behind me. I ran over to the Jeep seeing my brother opening the door and got out.

"What now?" I said, stopping in front of him, "We lost him."

"We should split up," He told me, walking to the gate that was in front of the Jeep, "We'll cover more ground then."

Both Scott and I leapt up and grabbed the top of the gate, flinging our legs and somersault in the air landing our feet on the ground next to each other.

"Be safe," I said as I rushed off into one direction and Scott into the other. I could hear the hissing of the Kanima. I ran faster towards where I heard the hissing coming from. It wasn't long before I saw the Kanima and Derek. He pushed Derek into one of the pillars making him groan in pain. I ran up to them and kicked him away from Derek before he could attack him.

The Kanima jumped away from us and climbed the pillar.

Derek's eyes widened in shock as he walked over to me, "Emery, what are you..."

Derek was cut off as an explosion of electricity came from above us making Derek grab me and shielding me with his body. I heard something drop behind us making me push Derek away from me and look behind us.

The Kanima rushed towards me making Derek push me aside and let the Kanima attack him instead of me. I groaned as I fell onto the ground, coughing as the dirt and dust flew around me.

I looked up as Derek was thrown next to me. He picked himself up ready to attack it once again but stopped as we heard the squealing of tires. Derek rushed over to me, picked me up and placed me on my feet before grabbing my hand and hid us behind the pillar.

He pushed my back against it standing in front of me making sure I was out of sight. My breath caught itself in my throat as I looked up towards him. Reminding me what happened last when we were in such a position.

My body suddenly became hotter than usual as he wrapped his arms tight around my waist and then stared down at me. I wanted to say something but then I heard the hissing ringing out from behind us and Chris talking.

I knew that I couldn't step out because if they saw me with Derek it would be the end of Emery Nova McCall.

"I need to get out of here," I said to Derek with a pleading look in my eyes. He nodded understanding what I meant. With the sound of a struggle, Derek grabbed my hand again running with me into the shadows, staying out of sight so that the Argents couldn't see me.

We stopped running when we were a safe distance away from them.

"Emery, what the hell are you doing here," Derek asked me stiffly.

I narrowed my eyes at him, ripping my hand out of his, "Trying to stop you from killing the Kanima," I said.

"Emery, that thing is killing people and it almost killed both of us," He snapped.

I took a step away from him and crossed my arms over my chest. It was true that it was killing people. But finding out that it was Jackson changed everything. Derek probably didn't know it was Jackson but still Jackson was a sixteen year old boy who probably didn't even know he was the Kanima. So I wasn't just going to let Derek kill him.

I jumped at the sound of my phone ringing in my pocket. Sending Derek a glare I pulled my phone out, looking down at it seeing it was a text message from Scott.

Jackson went into the club called Jungle. We think he is after Danny, where are you?
