It was the day after the whole event that happened at the abandoned train station. After Scott told Derek he will join his pack we had a really nice conversation when we got home. Note the sarcasm.
"What the hell were you doing at Derek's?" Scott shouted at me as I walked into my room with him hot on my heels.
"Scott I'm twenty-four I don't have to tell you everywhere I go," I said, turning to look at him in irritation. I turned away from him again and made my way towards my dresser opening the top drawer getting out my nighties and clean underwear.
I quickly shut the top drawer and pushed past Scott before Scott grabbed my upper arm a little too tightly. I looked at his hand in distaste and looked up at him with a raised eyebrow.
Scott quickly dropped his hand with big bewildered eyes. He took a big gulp and smiled at me nervously before continuing his ranting.
"You do if it involves werewolves and especially if it's about Derek!" He stated loudly, "I'm just trying to protect you, Emery,"
I walked over to my brother with a warm smile before placing my hands on his shoulders. Trying to calm him down a little.
"Scott you're my baby brother and I love you but I can protect myself, you of all people should know that by now." I stated with authority.
Let's just say this morning I got the silent treatment from him because I still didn't want to tell him why I was at Derek's. It wasn't like I didn't want to but I think if you tell your overprotective baby brother that you had a past with the person he wasn't actually on good terms with. Well let's just say it wouldn't go that well.
So that's why I was currently still sitting at the Sheriff Station late at night. I popped a French fries in my mouth as I looked between the Sheriff and his son.
"Oh, what the hell is this?" The Sheriff said after he took a bite of his burger and gave it a strange look.
"Veggie burger," Stiles said innocently as he took out his food from the package.
"Stiles, I asked for a hamburger," He stated as he dropped the burger onto its takeaway box again.
"Well, veggie is healthier. We're being healthy," Stiles said, taking a bite of his own burger.
"Oh, hell, why are you trying to ruin my life?" The Sheriff asked as he opened another box only to reveal carrots and cucumbers. I tried to hold in laughter and try not to choke on my own food as I stared at the two arguing.
"I'm trying to extend your life, okay?" Stiles said while his father looked towards me as if asking me for help. He looked from me to my fries that were sitting on the desk. Yeah Stiles tried to get my veggie food too but I told him that I would de-ball him if he did so. You guys can see who won that argument.
The Sheriff continued to look at me from the fries and eventually he decided to reach for one of my fries but I smacked his hand away before he could take one. Swinging my index finger in a no-no manner.
"You have your own food so eat it," I said with a laugh. He gave me a playful glare before looking back at his son with an actual glare.
"Yeah dad, listen to Emery and I'm not just saying that because she partly scares me," Stiles said nervously as he looked my way.
He cleared his throat before changing the subject, "So...tell me what you guys found."
"Stiles you know we're not allowed to share confidential police work with a teenager," I said trying to keep up my act in front of The Sheriff.
