Lucas' POV:"Lucas!"
I run into Felix's room giggling.
"There you are. What were you doing?" Felix asks, picking me up.
"I made this for you," I say showing him the flower crown I made.
Felix smiles at me and takes it from my hands. "It is so pretty! What is it?"
I take it back and put it on his head. "It's a flower crown! You wear it on your head!"
"Thank you, Lucas."
Felix hugs me and puts me down. He grabs my hand and brings me over to his bed.
"Let me check on your bites."
I slowly nod and tilt my head. Felix growls as he gently touches them.
"Ow! They're sore."
"Sorry," he says ruffling my hair. "They are healing well."
Felix lays his head on my lap and sighs. "I am sorry I could not protect you, Lucas. I should have brung you with me."
"It's not your fault. You didn't know any of that would happen," I say, playing with his hair.
"I still should have been able to protect you. I will do better."
I change the subject and start braiding his long hair. "Can I leave the cave today?"
"Lucas-"
"Please! I don't like being in here all by myself. It's scary sometimes," I pout.
I've been stuck in the cave ever since I got back to Felix. There was three days of nonstop crying. Felix hated seeing me so miserable, so he brung me flowers. That's how I made his flower crown.
When I finish his braid, Felix looks up at me. He smiles at my pouting face.
"I was not planning to do anything important today. I guess you can come with me to the river. It will be a great time to clean you."

"Wait! There are people around," I whine.
When Felix said he would clean me I didn't know it would be in a river full of people.
"Why does that matter?" Felix asks, tilting his head.
"They'll see me naked," I whisper.
"And that is a problem for you?"
I nod my head quickly.
Felix rubs his chin, in thought, then he starts to speak. "I will shield your body with mine. No one will see you except for me."
I hesitantly nod. Felix strips me naked and picks me up, leaving my clothes on the ground.
"What about my stuff," I whine.
"Your furs will be there when we get back," Felix says, going to a part of the river that isn't so crowded.
I'm slowly lowered down into the water. I gasp at the cold water, and grab Felix's arm in a death grip.
"You have to let go, Lucas," Felix chuckles.
I glare at him. "Don't laugh!" I whine.
"Okay. I am sorry, little one."
Hesitantly, I let go of Felix's arm and panic a little when I start to sink. I go to grab his arm again, but he moves it away.
