Lucas' POV:

I nestle against the warmth that surrounds me. I don't remember finding a warm place to stay but at this moment I don't care. A big yawn escapes my mouth and I lay my head on something cool but comfortable.

My eyes reluctantly open in curiosity when whatever I'm laying on starts to vibrate. I'm met with someone's side. I slowly look up in search of who this body belongs to. I watch as a teenage boy stretches. When he's done his head positions so that he can look at me. He offers me a friendly smile and taps my nose.

    "You are so adorable."

"Who are you?" Fear threatens to shake my voice but I control myself. "Where are we?"

"I am Felix, and you are in my cave," Felix says, propping up onto one elbow and rhythmically taps his fingers against his arm. It's unnerving and makes me uncomfortable.

"My name is Lucas. You said we're in a cave?" I whisper, confused about how I got here.

"Do you not know what a cave is? I can show you around so you can have an idea of what it is."

"I know what a cave is. How'd I end up here? I don't remember wandering into any caves."

"My father brought you here. This is where my father and I live."

"Why do you guys live in a cave? That's pretty weird."

At this point, I've forgotten that Felix is a stranger. He's easy to talk to and makes it seem like we've known each other for a while.

"Where else would we live?" He tilts his head and slightly raises an eyebrow.

    "In a house."

    "What is a how-oose?"

Is he serious? Does he really not know what a house is?

Before I can answer his question a voice sounds from somewhere in the room.

"Son, get up. You are going hunting with me today."

I look over to the voice and freeze in place. The man is not a man. Well, he looks like one from the waist up. Below is a different story. His lower half is that of a snake.

The man has short brown hair on top of his head and shining golden eyes. His ears are a bit longer than a regular person and pointy. He's very muscular and tall. The snake tail that is attached to him is a blood-red with golden patterns on it and a golden underbelly.

"Okay, father. Give me a bit before I leave with you."

    THAT'S HIS FATHER?!

I look up at Felix and watch as his long brown hair falls around his face like a curtain. He is also pretty muscular but not as muscular as his dad. I can see the end of his pointy ears sticking out from his hair. I look down and see what I hoped wouldn't be there. Felix has a dark blue tail with golden patterns on it. He also has a golden underbelly. I look down to see I'm laying on his tail.

"I see the human is awake," Felix's dad says. I try to hide behind Felix but remember what he is and try to move to the other side of the bed.

My escape attempt fails when Felix grabs my ankle with his large hand and drags me back toward him. I grab onto the bed but just end up bringing a blanket with me.

"Yep! Is it not the most adorable thing you've ever seen, father?" Felix says getting up from the bed and holding me in front of him. I clutch onto the blanket like it'll save me from these strange beings.

    "It is... cute. Now come."

Felix nods and holds me on his hip. Once his father leaves I look up at him.

"W-What are you guys?"

"We are nagas."

"Are you going to hurt me?"

"Why would I hurt you, my pet?"

"Pet?"

Felix leaves the room that we were in and I can see that the cave has hallways and different rooms. He goes through the cave until we're at the entrance.

"Stay," Felix says pointing a finger at me. He then puts me down onto the cold cave floor.

I watch as Felix leaves the cave and disappears into some bushes. A couple of minutes later Felix comes back with rope and starts tying it around my waist. He grabs a large boulder and puts it in a corner. Felix then ties the other end of the rope to the boulder.

"Wait! Where are you going?" I ask as I watch Felix slither to the entrance of the cave.

"I am going hunting. I will be back," Felix says.

"Why do I have to be tied up?"

"It is for your safety."

Before I can ask any more questions Felix leaves the cave.

I bring my knees up to my chest and lay my head on them. I'm all alone again.

After what felt like hours of counting and throwing rocks, I hear voices but they don't sound like Felix's or his dad's. I quickly climb the boulder and hide behind it. A couple of seconds later a naga appears in front of the cave and then another one does.

The first one looks like a teenager and is taller than Felix. He has short blonde hair and blue eyes. His tail is a light brown with dark brown diamonds on the back. The end of his tail has a large rattle on it.

The second naga is shorter than Felix and the first naga but taller than me. He looks just like the first one except for his darker tail and longer hair. His dirty blonde hair rest on his shoulders.

"Felix!" The first one shouts. "Felix are you in there?"

"Yash! Quiet! What if Alpha Niko is in there?"

"Calm down, Yuggy. They have not been here in a while. Their scents are faint."

"Stop calling me that. Let's just leave and wait until they come back."

"Fine, Yug. We will just come back later."

At that moment a large sneeze forces itself out of me. I freeze and hold my hands up to my mouth.

"What was that?" The small one named Yug asks.

"Who isss there?" Yash says sitting up on his coils and rattling his tail.

I peek from behind the rock and look at the two nagas. Their eyes meet mine and I immediately go back to hiding behind my rock.

    "W-What was that?"

"I think it is an intruder. Whoever that is I will go get Alpha Niko and his son if you do not come out now!"

"What is all this shouting about?"

"Sorry, alpha Niko. There is someone in your cave," Yash says.

"Where are they?!" I flinch at the harshness of Felix's dad's voice.

    "Behind that boulder," Yug says.

"Oh. That's probably just our pet." I peek from behind the rock again when I hear Felix's voice.

"You have someone as a pet? I did not know you were into that stuff."

"No. It's a human. Lucas, come out."

I hesitantly make my way onto the rock. I sit down on top of it and watch all of the nagas stare at me.

"Woah!" Yash and Yug both exclaim.
