jungkook immediately continued making his fruit salad when the two arrived home. after covering the bowl and placing it in the refrigerator, he chopped up the japchae ingredients and rinsed the noodles.
he took a water break and set a reminder on his phone to go pick up the pastries from serendipity bakery in an hour. he had gotten most of the food ready, but he was still low key stressing. he looked over to see jimin STILL texting his beloved yoongi, and shook his head. jimin was smiling like an idiot and gushing in frequent bursts.
it was 3:00 pm, and jungkook decided to have jimin, who was just sitting doing nothing, go pick up the pastries. he complained but gave in nonetheless, and jungkook finished cooking the japchae and side ingredients, listening to some jazz lofi to help him loosen up.
it was 4:00 pm, 1 hour before their first date.
kim taehyung was nervous to say the least. his hands were already clammy, and he couldn't think about anything else besides their date. he would go pick up jungkook around 5:00, so he still had time to get ready and do last preparations.
seokjin rang the doorbell just then, signaling that the pie had arrived! as he opened the door, the scent of fresh cherry and pie crust flooded his senses, making him hum pleasantly. "thank you, jin!! you're the best." jin patted his dark brown locks with his free hand, then placed the pie in taehyung's arms.
"no probs. anything for my son. have fun!" jin smirked playfully, making pointers with his fingers.
"what a douche," taehyung replied while closing the door in jin's face.
he brought the professionally made pie to the kitchen countertop, where some sandwiches he had prepared lay, arranged cutely in two twin bento boxes.
