"my life was blank, like an old canvas," the note said.

"but you painted my world with the most beautiful colors. i love you. forever yours, tae."

jungkook just smiled at the note, tears brimming his eyes.

he felt his heart pulsing. his chest hurt. his head hurt. he had no idea who he was, where he was, and what he was doing in a hospital, but this note kept him company as he drifted off into slumber. 

he repeated the words in his head like a lullaby.  "you painted my world with the most beautiful colors."

the paper was clutched tightly in his right hand, as if afraid it would disappear. "i love you."

he smiled as his eyes fluttered closed, drifting off into a restful sleep. 

"forever yours, tae."
