jungkook brought his hand up to taehyung's cheek, which was moist with a single tear.
"you ok?"
"this saturday. i have to go to m-my mom's funeral. in my hometown." taehyung choked out.
jungkook felt his insides crack at the sentence. he rubbed his thumb in soft circles against taehyung's tan skin.
"c-can you come with me?" he didn't expect his boyfriend to ask him this. his finger froze in mid-motion. was it any of his business to go to someone else's mom's funeral?
"i don't want to go there alone. it's too much." taehyung sobbed, jungkook's expression molding into one full of softness for the other male. he wanted to be there for his boyfriend. what if something happened to him?
"of course i'd go with you, tae."
"thank you. thank you so so much." and with that taehyung engulfed jungkook in a hug, head instantly squeezing into his shoulder. jungkook nodded his head and leaned into the hug.
i'd do anything for you.
they lay down on a blanket, which was delicately spread across the soft grass, gazing up at the night sky.
"woah.. look at that one!! it's so bright!" taehyung grinned at jungkook, who was pointing up at an exceptionally bright star. they made out shapes and words from scattered dots in the sky, connecting them with their fingers.
"jungkook," taehyung suddenly said, eyes unblinking, captivated by his thoughts and the stars in the sky.
"yes?"
"i'm so lucky to have you." he then turned his head, gaze falling onto jungkook's god-sent side profile, seeing the stars reflected in his eyes, feeling his own eyes water at the sight. jungkook twisted his neck slightly and smiled cheekily at his boyfriend.
"no you." jungkook put on a mocking pouty face, making taehyung's insides do something.
"NoO. you." taehyung reflected his boyfriend's pouty expression.
"uno reverse card." jungkook now had his arms crossed and stuck his tongue out for an extra measure.
"i uno reverse card your uno reverse card."
"that's not possible."
"shut up."
"no."
"love you."
"i love you more."
"hey."
