A few years had passed and the world was almost back to the golden days of human genetics. With my discovery of what the blue substance did a team led by one of my old coworkers discovered a cure. I wanted to be the one to lead it, but Dr. Griff insisted that I shouldn't. I fought him on it for almost a month until he told me his reasoning behind it. He didn't want there to be an accident in the lab while I was working and it make me infertile. He knew how much I loved being a mom... he also knew that Liam and I had been planning on having another kid soon too.
We discovered that all the people who tested positive had been born outside a hospital as well. A common factor between all of us that solidified my discovery. Most of the human race had recieved the antidote this last month, but the world was big and people were still barely getting access to it. The world was starting to heal though. Families were being made and joy that was previously never going to happen for a lot of people was becoming reality.
As for Liam and I, we have our family. Now that being able to have children isn't such an oddity were going to be moving us and our children back into the outside world. Yes I said children. We now have three kids Griffin, Kade, and Rene. They were beautiful, each and every one of them. They're perfect. Liam and I have never been so happy. Knowing that within weeks our children will get to meet their uncles and grandparents just added to the happiness.
It took years for everything to piece itself back together, but it finally did. The human race was saved, and families were reunited.
