"You don't have to do this," I said. I was facing a back that had light brown hair on the back of his head.

"Yes I do Ava. It's not exactly a choice either way. I was a match with someone, I am one of the few people that can have children. If I don't do this I'll never forgive myself," the stranger said.

Suddenly I wasn't talking anymore and I was just watching me and this stranger.
The stranger turned towards the me that I was watching and put some of my hair behind my ear.

"You'll understand it in two years Ava. When you're tested. I hope that you'll be able to have children too," he said.

"Dan is having children really worth leaving everything you've ever known?" I asked him. So his name is Dan.

"Ava you're a doctor you know that humans are dying off. You could be fired right now if anyone heard you saying that," Dan said sternly.

Other me sighed. "I know Dan. But is it?" She asked with some tears in her eyes.

Dan smiled softly and pulled other me into a hug. "Yes and much more. I hope you'll understand one day. I have to go Ava. Take care of Dad," he said then he disappeared.

Then I was alone in a dark mist.

"Ava Johnson do you take Liam Scott to be your lawfully wedded husband?" I heard from a voice behind me.

I turned around and was met with Dr. Griff and Liam. Liam looked at me anxiously. Liam wore nothing fancy just jeans and a black button down shirt. I looked down at myself and I wore a light blue dress that wasn't very flattering. It reminded me of a hospital gown. I hate it.

"Ava are you going to say I do or not? You're the one that wanted to do this," Liam said sounding rather annoyed.

"I do," I said confidently. Then I looked back to Dr. Griff. He held a slight smile but the majority of his face held sadness. He then turned to Liam.

"Do you Liam Scott take Ava Johnson to be your lawfully wedded wife?" He asked Liam.

Liam paused for a long time and looked at me. His eyes were conflicted.

Was he going to say no? No he wouldn't do that. At least I think he wouldn't, he told me he wouldn't.

Liam gulped and with one last look at me turned to Dr. Griff, " I do." He said it with confidence despite his very long pause. Dr. Griff looked a bit shocked at Liam's answer. Was he expecting something else to happen?

"Then you can kiss her I guess," Dr. Griff said in a state of shock. I don't blame him everything seemed weird and somewhat rushed.

I looked at Liam and blushed. We were going to kiss in front of Dr. Griff. Liam suddenly grabbed my waist and held me tightly to him. I felt my eyes widen at this movement.

"I did what you want Ava. Now I'm going to kiss my wife whether you want me too or not," he told me with a husky voice. I definitely want him to.

Suddenly his rough lips were on mine. Our lips moved in sync and felt like a heated rush.

He later stopped the kiss after Dr. Griff cleared his throat. Okay that's embarrassing.
"Keep that up and we won't have to do a memory wipe after all," Dr. Griff said amused. I felt myself blush despite not truly understanding his words.

"It's too late to change the procedure now," Liam said sadly. With his arm around my shoulders.

"I am sorry. I tried everything I could. You two just don't get along well enough and even though you have shown improvement lately it's just not soon enough," Dr. Griff said.

"We know. We've talked a lot of stuff over once she wasn't throwing shoes at me," he said with a chuckle trying to lighten the suddenly dense situation. Why was I throwing shoes at him?

"I've talked to the rest of the staff and we've all agreed that as your wedding gift we'll leave you alone until the day of the procedure," Dr. Griff said.

"Thank you," I said shyly trying to hide behind Liam.

Suddenly Liam was gone and I was alone again.

"Ava I swear if you test negative I'll marry you," I heard the voice of Kyle behind me.

I turned to see him with a crazed look. Yet again I was watching myself instead of participating.

"I told you we're done Kyle. It doesn't matter what the test says I won't be with you," she said angrily.

"And why the hell is that? Because of that idiot Liam Scott? What is he to you anyways?" Kyle yelled at her and grabbed her arm.
"Kyle. You're hurting me," she whispered while trying to get her arm away.

Kyle looked at her with a look of pure disgust. "I don't even know why I wanted a girl like you anyways. Go! Run away with that jerk! Just know that I'll catch up with you both!" He yelled at her.

She whimpered,"I would never be with that cocky, flirty jerk! But I'd rather be with him then a guy like you," She yelled back.

Jerk? Liam wasn't a jerk! Flirty seems like a right adjective but none of the other things.

"Go to hell!" Kyle yelled and raised his hand to hit her.

Before he could hit her I sat up straight up on the bed. A dream... it was all just a dream! It felt so real.

I felt my breathing become a bit labored as my thoughts spiraled. Is it true? Did Liam marry me only because I wanted to? Did I really hate Liam so much? Is Dan really my brother?

There was a tickling feeling on my left shoulder. I turned my head and saw Liam kissing my shoulder. Seeing him made me calm down, and my breathing went back to normal.

" I remembered something," I heard Liam say even though it was muffled by my shoulder. Was it like mine? Will he just confirm that we hated each other?

I have to know and he deserves to know what I know.

"I did too," I whispered.
