I sprawled my body out on my carpet in my room as Amelia tugged on my hair. I was stuck babysitting once again since my parents were at a meeting. I cringed as I felt a lock of my hair nearly being ripped out of my head.

"Let's do something else" I sign to  Amelia who whines when I sit up. She pouts making me giggle a little. I pull her into my arms and she snuggles closer to me.

"Want a snack"? I signed to her and she signs back a yes. I stand up carrying her in my arms to the kitchen. The maids ran around rampant as I grabbed some aninal crackers for Amelia.

We go to sit on the couch when my eye begins to ache. Holding a hand to my eye Amelia looks to me confused. "I'm alright... eat your snack" I cooed clenching my teeth when another wave of pain hits me.

The ointment that doctor Warren gave me had only worked for a few weeks. And soon I was to start my training since my mother thought it would be a good idea to train again. I only stopped due to have problems with my eye.

I always debated just having it removed but there was a part of me that had been hopeful. Although a cure was yet to be found I was hoping that the small things I did would help in the long run. And here I was now dropping eye drops that a maid had handed me after I asked for them.

I didn't want to rely on them anymore. Maybe it would be better to remove it altogether. That was still a possibility which I had yet to speak about it to my parents. I knew how sensitive my mother was when it came to my health.

After the pain finally went away I relaxed into the couch as Amelia finshed her snack. Just then one of the maids came into the livingroom. "Miss you have a visitor" she informs me.

"Uh send them in" I say and she nods her head. I hear the front door close and footsteps approaching. I look to see a smiling Wesley dressed in a black tee with a red cardigan. His hazel eyes beamed in delight and Amelia gazes at him in awe.

"Wesley what are you doing here"? I say wrapping an arm around Amelia who is suddenly acting shy.

"I'd thought I would drop by and see what you are up to" he says kneeling down in front of Amelia. She peeks through a little her face going slightly red.

"The last time I was here she was still in your mother's belly" he held his hands out and Amelia immediately started playing with his hands. It shocked me at how quickly she became comfortable with him.

"I can't believe she's your bestfriend already. She doesn't do well with strangers" I say as Wesley tries to catch her little hands. Amelia stops to sign and Welsey looks to me.

"She is asking if she can show you her teddies" I say with a laugh. Wesley eyes light up and he nods making Amelia giggle. She grabs his large hand holding it by his pinky finger.

I follow them up the stairs amused. It wasn't long before Amelia had piled all of her stuff animals on top of him. The sight warmed my heart as he would occasionally ask me how to sign things so that he could talk to her.

Soon her naptime approached and one of the maids came to fetch her. Of course she didn't go without a fight but surprisingly Wesley was able to calm her down.

"I'm impressed, usually I'm the only one who can calm her down" I say as we slowly walk the trail behind my house. The chilly air smelt of rain as it had been thundering the night before.

"Guess it's because I have the magic touch" he says with a smirk. I shake my head holding back a smile. He grabbed my gloved hand in his and I felt my heart begin to race.

We walk in comfortable silence. Out feet crunch against the hard earch floor. "So tell me why you are really  here" I say finally breaking the silence. It takes him a few seconds to answer and he stops walking.

"I really did come to see you. But we need to talk, mainly about Lila" he says grabbing my gloved hands in his.

"What about her? Isn't she staying somewhere else"? A week had passed and Nuri had let me know that Lila was no longer staying in her basement.

"She's safe at another pack members house. But lately we've been having some visitors. Remember that hunter we ran into"? He asks and I nod my head.

"Well apparently he isn't the only one.  I have a strange suspicion they might be teaming up with the vampires" he says with a serious expression.

"Well you don't really know that for sure do you"? From what I learned about their history hunters despised the supernatural population. They thrived on being the only living race to exist.

"A bunch of hunters were camping along the border and they weren't alone. I let my father know and he's afraid they are going to try and start something".

I arch my brows confused. "You mean like a war or something? I thought that was just some theory". Wesley shakes his head.

"It's still a possibility we can't risk. Which brings me to something I've been dreading to tell you". His expression turns to one of glum as he casts his eyes down to the floor.

"What is it? I'm sure it can't be that bad" I chirp trying to lighten the mood. He cups my cheeks making my heart race ten times faster.

"My father is going on a trip to warn other neighboring packs. He wants to team up should anything happen. He want's me to come along since I'm the future alpha" Welsey growls as he gently caresses my cheek.

"Well it shouldn't be that long right? How long will you be gone for" ? I whisper as my skin tingles from his touch. The more he touched me the more I felt myself becoming breathless.

"A month or two. There is no way in telling how long it will be. I know this is very sudden, especially since it's in the middle of our junior year". Wesley sighs deeply before his hand drops away from my face. I couldn't help being a little upset at the fact that he was leaving again. It seemed like the universe kept pulling him away.

"Well I'll be here when you get back. Try not to miss me too much" I joke lightly punching his arm. He sends a sad smile before pulling me in for a hug. I held back my own sadness as I tried not to think about it.
