Four whole days had passed since Wesley left and I had been in a sour mood. Things felt just as they were when he left the first time. Even Lauren was not in the best od moods. The bell ringed signaling that class was officially over.
I packed my things slowly before making my way out of the classroom. I had a free period before lunch so I decided to meet Nuri who also had a free in the library. I stopped at my locker picking up a few books before shutting it closed.
I trudge my way to the library suddenly feeling tired. Me and Wesley stayed up late on the phone last night and I only got four hours of sleep. Whenever he had free time he would text me nonstop. I was slowly coming to terms with my feelings although apart of me was still in denial.
With a deep sigh I plopped down at an empty table at the back of the library. Nuri wasn't here yet so I made myself comfortable. Eyes growing heavy I layed my head down against my folded arms closing my eyes. I was about to drift off when I felt a light tap against my shoulder.
Immediately shooting up I was shaken out of my reverie when a tall girl with blue eyes and dark hair retracted her hand. "Hi... I'm so sorry to disturb you... could I sit here"? She asked pointing to a seat at the end of the table.
"Uh yes of course" I say slightly annoyed that I was woken up. She thanked me profusely before taking her seat. Out of all the tables in the library she just had to choose this one. Laying my head back down I shut my eyes closed trying to fall back asleep.
A strange chemical like smell suddenly wafted in the air. It caused me to gag a bit and my eyes began to sting. Immediately sitting up I rubbed my eyes trying to stop the burning sensation.
"Are....you okay"? The dark haired girl asked once I stopped rubbing my eyes. When the smell started to disappear I opened my eyes but what I saw made me gasp.
I could see out of my blind eye! Right then and there I thought I was truly going insane. I could make out the girls features her long dark hair contrasted against her pale skin.
Getting a sniff of her blood I could tell she was a vampire like me. Although something about her rubbed me the wrong way. But what freaked me out was how clear my vision was just by looking at her.
It was like I was never blind at all!
"Yes... I'm fine" I say eyeing her up and down. This was the first time I could see put of both eyes. It was a miracle, yet I couldn't figure out why. Just then a bouncing Nuri came in with her large bag hanging off her shoulder.
"Hey sorry I'm late my locker got jammed again" she says loudly. I tear my eyes away from the girl to look at Nuri but to my dismay my eye went back to blurry.
I could officially be going insane but I knew it wasn't all in my head. How was I able to fully see her? I had been blind since I was a child I never knew what it was like having full vision.
For the rest of the free period I sat contemplating. While the dark haired girl had long gone left.

Pulling my hair up into a messy bun, I sat on my large bed with my laptop open. Tonight me and Wesley were having our annual video chat. A whining Amelia sat next to me as she wanted to join in.
My laptop started to ring signaling an incoming call. I pulled amelia in my lap before answering. "Hey Wes" I signed for Amelia as well. He looked good in a plain white tee and some black jeans. His dark hair sat messily on top of his head.
"Look at my gorgeous girls" he cooed softly through the screen. I tried hiding my blush as best as I could while signing for Amelia. She plopped a giant kiss on the screen leaving a wet mark.
"No kissing the screen Amelia, it's dirty" I scolded her to which she payed me no mind.
"How are things over there"? I asked while pushing back some astray pieces of hair that fell out of my bun.
"They are fine. We are making our way around the perimeter. The hunters seemed to be on the move as well" he informed me.
"Does your father plan on gathering all the neighboring packs? Won't that take longer" ?
"Most likely, but right now my father is preparing for the worst. Especially since we've came across some unfortunate issues. Seems like the vampires and hunters are teaming up I have no clue why".
"Well that's strange considering how vampires and hunters have been known to hate each other" I say in thought. Looks like things were even more serious than I imagined.
"Yeah it is. But at least we know they are working together. Anyway enough about me, how was school"? He asked causing me to hesitate a bit, I debated in my head if I should tell him what happened earlier.
"Uh same old same old" I say choosing to withhold it from him. He had enough going on at the moment and knowing him I knew he'd try and come back home. We talked for another hour until we finally said our goodbyes.
Tomorrow was officially my first day back on the training field. My mother had decided now it was time and she was also going to be training me.
How bad could it be?
Right?
