Wesley layed in his wolf form as he wallowed in self pity. He had discovered an empty wooded area not far from the school. He had been there for the past two hours listening to the birds chirp away and annoy the crap out of him.
He regretted snapping at Adora earlier. It had been the first time he ever raised his voice at her and he felt terrible. He blamed Lauren for bringing up the pack meeting in ther first place. That girl had some motive to piss him and so far she had been achieving it.
He had refused to attend the stupid pack meeting for several reasons. The first being he wasn't in any mood to meet the rest of his pack members. Most of them didn't like him anyway and would send him dirty looks when he walked by.
He never cared what others thought of him. But it was clear that some pqck members had figured out the reason why his parents made the decision to send him away. The second was he didn't care about pack things or business for that matter.
It wasn't like he was some rogue, he just liked doing his own thing. He could care less about being included with the other wolves. He had been doing fine on his own and didn't need to feel belonged by anyone else.
Except his piggy
She was the light to his darkness. When he had been sent away, there were times where he felt alone. But once he looked at her picture, he felt himself relax altogether. One look at her and his heartbeat would slow down. She was the key to his heart and call him whipped but he would do anything she asked him to.
And now he felt like a jerk for snapping at her and walking off. He planned to apologize to her profusely at school tomorrow and he would take her to get her favorite ice cream. She still owed him a day for them to spend time together.
A slight breeze ruffled against his fur, he sniffed the air smelling an unfamiliar scent. He stood on all fours his nose to the ground as he tracked the scent. The scent became stronger as he tracked it deeper into the bushes. Using his paws to push away the stray leaves and such he came across a small pond. Beautiful red colored flowers surrounded it and a small waterfall could be seen flowing through the large rocks.
The scent remained as he walked closer to the small pond. He peered down below at the crisp blue water as little fish swam about. He was shocked to see little tiny mermaids swimming among the fish. He was so distracted he didn't even see the tiny wolf sleeping away next to the pond.
It yawned as it sniffed it's nose in the air, it's fur coveredin dirt and mud. The small wolf was smaller compared to his large frame. It was small and frail and looked as if it hadn't eaten in days. Just then the small wolf shifted into a girl with chocolate skin and a curly afro. Her brown eyes stared at him in fear as he looked away from her naked body.
He went behind the tree that held his clothes shifting back into his human form and then changing into his clothes. When he came out he saw the girl now wearing a thin grey shirt over her bony body. "Who are you and what are you doing here? You do know that your trespassing". He grunted his voice commanding so much authority.
The girl immediately shied away casting her eyes down on the floor. "I didn't mean to... t-trespass... I... I need help. Someone....is out to get me... please help me" she her lips quivering as she held back a sob. Clenching his jaw he had no clue what to do with her. If he brought her back to the pack he was sure they might attack her as soon as they smelled her scent.
She was a rogue after all and he knew his parents wouldn't be too happy about him bringing home a rogue. "What is your name"? He asked roughly taking out his phone from his pocket.
"Lila...Lila Fallice" she stuttered now sitting on her knees in a submission pose. He sighed deeply before calling the one person he knew could help him with this akward situation. They waited around twenty minutes before he could spot Adora's blonde hair.
She wore a lavender coat with blue jeans. A white scarf was wrapped around her neck as her tightly sealed ponytail bounced as she walked closer to where he stood. "Wesley it's almost 8 PM what did you-"
Adora stops in her tracks her eyes immediately stopping on the girl. "Uh who is this"? She asks stepping closer to him her eyes looked between the unknown girl and Wesley.
He pulled her closer to him whispering to her. "Her names Lila, I found her out here. I need your help piggy" he says looking at Lila who still had her head down.
"Wesley you can't be serious? We don't know who this girl is! What if she's some undercover spy"? She whisper yells causing him to had back a grin.
"We don't really have a choice here Adora. We can't just leave her here and technically she's trespassing" he says arching a brow at her. Adora bites her nas nervously.
"Why can't you just bring her to your parents? Surely your dad would understand right"? She glances nervously at the girl shifting back and forth.
"If that was an option I wouldn't have called you here. Look we just need to find her a place to stay until I figure something out". He watches her think for a moment before snapping her fingers and her eyes go wide.
"I think I know a place. But I'm not sure how she'll take it. But it's worth a shot". They arrive several minutes later throwing pebbles outside of Nuris window. After several attempts Nuri finally popped her head out of her window her dark hair tied messily in a bun.
"What the hell are you guys doing?! You do know it's literally almost midnight"! Nuri whisper yells her eyes stop on Lila looking at her in confusion.
"Nuri keep your voice down! We need your help with something" Adora whispers back. Wesley keeps his eyes on Lila as she nervously watches the interaction taking place. Nuri opens her window wide climbing down the tree that stood close to her bedroom.
"What the hell Nuri?! Why didn't you just come down like a normal person"? Adora whispers causing him to hold back a laugh. He didn't know what Adora's plan was and why it included Nuri but he put his full trust in here.
"This is a top secret mission! Plus my parents are having a meeting right now so using the front door is not an option! Anyway... not to to be rude but... who's the chick"? Nuri says her eyes landing on Lila.
Wesley got to explaining what happened from him finding her sleep next to the small pond and her telling him about running away from someone. They stood in the backyard of Nuri's house standing a little away from the windows.
"So basically you want me to hide her in my basement until you can find her a place to go"? Nuri reiterated arching a brow.
"It'll only be for a couple of weeks at most. I need to figure out a way to tell my parents. My father will freak once he figures out that a rogue basically trespassed our territory and I didn't let him know". Wesley could see it now, his father lecturing him as his mother gave him a look of disappointment.
"Are you sure no one ever goes down there though? We can't afford to get into anymore trouble" Adora says giving a look of worry.
"I'm positive. You'll be safe here I promise" Nuri says offering Lila a soft smile.
"Thank you all... so much... I can't thank you enough" Lila says as her eyes grow watery. Nuri wraps an arm around her shoulders.
"Let's get you a shower and some clothes and maybe something to eat. You must be starving". Nuri gently pulls Lila towards the back of her house where the back door is.
"We'll be back tomorrow. You Lila Fallice have got some explaining to do".
