Today was the day Wesley and a bunch of pack warriors were leaving. After Wesley had told me his father was making him come we made it our mission to spend the next few weeks together. A large lump formed in my throat as I watched him pack a few things that he needed.

He stopped to look at me grabbing my face in his hands. "I'm upset too piggy, I wish I had a choice" he cooed stroking a finger down my face. My heart began to thunder like always.

"I know it's just you always seem to leave at the most outrageous times. Just promise to be safe" I say squeezing his hand in mine.

"I'm always safe Adora. Let's not forget I spent the year away training" he says going back to packing. I thought back to the year he had been gone. Atleast I still had Lauren and Nuri to keep me company.

"And what about Lila? Are we supposed to keep an eye on her" ? I ask raising a brow.

"Just until I get back. You have to make sure no one finds out about her Adora" he says with a warning tone. I nod my head in understanding.

"You can count on me Wes I'll make sure to keep her hidden" I say with a playful salute. He gives me a jaw dropping smile and I feel my heart dip in swirls. After zipping up his bag I walk him downstairs where the rest of the pack members that were foinf were waiting.

"I'm gonna head out I promised Nuri I'd help with her math homework" I say as he walks me outside away from everyone.

"I'll call you later so make sure you have your phone on. I'll probably facetime you too. And keep me posted about your-"

"Yes I got it Wesley" I interrupt his rambling with a soft giggle. He looks at me with an expression I had never seen before. Gently pulling me closer in his arms he squeezed me tight as if afraid to let me go. He suddenly pulls back as if wanting to tell me something.

He doesn't say anything as he pulls me in for one last hug. "I'll be back piggy, I promise" he whispered softly as I hugged him gently. I moved out of his arms with a forced smile before leaving his house. I felt a hole in my heart as I made my way to Nuri's.

I find her sprawled out in the bathtub with water. Her long gigantic green and blue toned mermaid tail stuck out. "Nuri what the hell are you doing"? I ask setting my bag on her bed.

"I didn't get to hydrate and the pool is frozen so I decided to use the bathtub! Although it's not very comfortable" she whines splashing water on the ground as she turns.

"Wesley is leaving today" I say staring at her with a blank expression. The more I thought about it the more it caused my heart to hurt more than it already did.

"Aww I'm sorry Dora. He'll be fine but most importantly I think you need to be honest with yourself" Nuri says giving me a pointed look.

"What do you mean"? I say confused. I was the most honest person out there.... well at least I hoped I was.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about Adora. You obviously like him more than you want to admit. When are you going to stop hiding your true feelings? It's not good for your mental health" Nuri says seriously. With a sigh I lay flat against her bed staring up at the ceiling.

Maybe... just maybe.... I was starting to have these unknown emotions I wasn't used to. I didn't know how to act upon them and I'd only had one real relationship before. But when I was with Wesley he made me feel... safe and wanted. He was gentle with me and even when we did have am argument he always had a way in making me forgive him completely.

My heart beats loudly and light tremors wrack my whole body. "Oh my god... I think I'm in love with my bestfriend"!

She walked in front with her head held high. Her long dark ebony hair layed flat against her back as her red colored eyes were hidden behind some blue contacts. Her fangs poked out of her mouth as if ready to pounce on anything that moved.

She was gracefully adorned in a sparkled black dress. Her red painted fingernails were sharp to the touch. She stared down at the young boy that layed flat on the metal bed. His inside layed open showcasing his major arteries. The sight beguiled her and she had been feeding on him since he and his sister had tried getting away. Although the girl had made it out of her grasp the young boy wasn't so lucky.

"Miss we have news. A group of men have just been seen leaving our next target. Should I gather the others" a hunter said holding a pistol in his hands. She despised them to her very core but she needed them to act out her plan.

"No need. We will start moving tomorrow at dawn. Let the others know" she said dismissing him with a wave of her hand. Her eyes trained back on the dead boy as she poked a finger inside his opened body. All the blood from inside him had been gone as he was another fail attempt at turning him successfully.

For months she had been stealing werewolves using them for her experiment. She had hoped to be able to successfully turn a werewolf into a hybrid. She herself was the only living being hybrid that existed. If she wanted to own everything she needed a clan of her own kind.

To do that proved not to be so easy. She also needed to experiment on vampires as well but so far nothing had come of her empty experiments. After losing her parents who were killed by there own people she vowed to avenge them.

She picked up a lavender colored liquid which was her new injection that consisted of chemicals specifically designed to change and add cells. After going after several packs she needed more candidates to try it out on.

She needed a population of her own and once she eradicated what was left of the vampire and werewolf population next were the humans. She had big plans one that could not be jeopardized and things were going to happen her way if she had any say about it.

Things were only just getting started...
