Shivika landed face first on her bed, in her bedroom of her her own apartment in New York.
The flight was exhausting but more than physical, she was mentally exhausted.
She had secretly cried all the way, making sure she doesn't show her tears to Vansh and her uncle.
Well, her uncle wasn't really her uncle...He is just a babysitter which Shivaay had hired for her.
She was beyond broke and felt betrayed.
Practically, her whole life was a lie.
Her uncle wasn't her uncle.
Her mother wasn't sick, she was in freaking coma !
Her father didn't hate her for nothing.
She was the reason she was pushed away.
She wasn't even Khanna ! She was an Oberoi.
Shivika couldn't help but think how unfortunate she was.
First, she pushed her own mother off the roof, then she was sent to Zoey and her mum and it must've been Shivika's unfortunate presence due to which Zoey's mum died in plane crash just a few months after Shivika went to live with them.
How disgusting ! - Shivika thought. - I should die ! I only claim people's lives, I can do no good to anyone.
She cried and cried until a knock sounded on the door and in came Khanna in a casual outfit.
"Viki." He softly called.
Shivika sat herself up and wiped the remaining tears. She didn't make any eye contact.
Khanna sighed and sat on her bed beside her.
"Mein janta hu ki tumhe kaisa mehsus ho raha hai." ("I know how you're feeling.") Khanna started softly. "Pr..." ("But..") He stopped and sighed.
"Viki, just because mein tumhara sacchi ka uncle nahi hu, iska yeh matlab nahi hai ki mein tumse pyaar nahi karta. Mein tumse bahot pyaar karta hu Viki. Mere liye tum meri beti jaisi hi ho." ("Viki, just because I'm not your real uncle doesn't mean that I don't love you. I love you so much Viki. You're no less than a daughter to me.") Khanna sounded sincere.
