Scene 1
Shivaay was in his office when he received Khanna's call.
"Haan kya hua Khanna ?" ("Yes Khanna, what happened ?") Shivaay asked while checking some important file.
"Sir..." Khanna's timid, concerned voice came through the phone. "...sir Shivika...Shivika behosh ho gayi." ("...sir, Shivika...she is unconscious.")
"What ?" Shivaay shouted as numerous bad thoughts crossed his mind. "Kya hua usey ? Woh thik toh hai ? Kaha hai woh ?" ("What happened to her ? Is she alright ? Where is she ?")
"Sir, mein usey City hospital leke aaya hu. Meine abhi tak Annika mam ko bhi nahi bataya." ("Sir, I've brought her to City hospital. I haven't told this to Annika mam yet.") Khanna replied.
"Ok." Shivaay exhaled and collected himself. "Mein abhi hospital ata hu. Annika ko kuch mat batana." ("I'm coming there right away. Don't tell Annika any of this.")
Annika was now 7 months pregnant and doctors had advised everyone not to stress her out cause that might affect her and the baby adversely.
Shivaay reached the hospital as fast as he could. OmRu and RiVya were already present there, they all looked worried as hell.
"OmRu !" Shivaay yelled as he ran towards his brothers. "Princess kaha hai ? Woh thik hai na ?" ("Where's my Princess ? Is she okay ?")
"Woh..." ("Actually...") Om started but was cut off by the arrival of the doctor.
"Mr Oberoi." Doctor called and Shivaay stepped in front. "Humne Shivika ke kuch test karwaye hai aur mujhe reports mil chuki hai." ("We had did some tests on Shivika and I've the reports with me.")
Shivaay nodded as he listened to the doctor with his undivided attention.
"I'm sorry to break this to you Mr Oberoi but... Shivika has Lupus disease. Last stage." Doctor finished and a look of uncertainty and worry appeared on Shivaay's face. "Aasan shabdo mein kahe toh Shivika ka immune system self destructive activities perform kar raha hai." ("In simple words, Shivika's immune system has gone in a self destructive mode.")
Shivaay was too shocked to say anything. Fear engulfed his heart as he registered that Shivika's disease had attained last stage.
"Woh thik...thik ho jayegi na ?" ("She...she will get well soon, right doctor ?") Shivaay coaxed timidly.
Doctor sighed. "Abhi tak iss bimari ka koi permanent ilaz nahi hai...but treatment se woh apni normal life jee sakti hai. Hume jald se jald uski treatment start karni hogi, thodi si bhi deri uski jaan ko khtra ban sakti hai." ("There's no effective medicine on this disease yet...but with treatment she can live a normal life. We'll have to start her treatment soon, any further delay may pose danger to her life.")
