Can you believe we're almost half-way through this story? It seems crazy because not that much has happened, but you'll see! Anyway, I hope you enjoy and if you do, please don't forget to vote and leave me a comment :) One last thing...      The rest of the weekend went by in a blur and before she knew it, Danika was back in a hotel room with a clueless Julie and Marcus.

"How did you find the ride over here?" Danika asked them.

Julie shrugged. "It was fine. I slept through most of it to be honest."

"Yeah, same," Marcus yawned. "I'm somehow still tired.

Danika nodded. "I feel like everyone slept," she guessed, wondering if the charm made people think that was the case. "I mainly just read ahead and worked on assignments."

"You have been awfully quiet," Julie narrowed her eyes at Danika. "Did anything happen that we don't know about?"

Danika's eyes widened. "Really? I'm with you two all the time." Crap, did the charm not work well enough?

"I don't know," Julie continued. "You're acting like someone who's hiding something... or someone."

"Pfft, no," Danika motioned with her hand, trying to brush it off. "Who would I be hiding? I haven't been on the internet a lot and you know all of our classmates," she said before sticking her tongue out.

Marcus smirked. "Our classmates, yes. But you do have a special glimmer in your eyes when you look at Dr. Evantin."

"And you do often stay back at the end of class for a bit," Julie added.

Danika felt her heart drop into her stomach. "That's crazy! Sure, he's really attractive, but I'm sure most of the girls and some guys in our class think so too. Plus, he probably has a girlfriend." She tried to hold back nervous laughter.

"She's got a point," Julie told her twin. "Kelly has a huge crush on him and just saw him having a hot makeout session with a woman earlier in the week. Apparently they're engaged."

     "Not surprised," Marcus shrugged.

"Really?" Danika asked at the same time. "Did Kelly describe the woman at all?" She knew she shouldn't keep the conversation going, but she was curious about it considering Kelly hadn't given her a second glance in class the next day.

Julie laughed. "She said she was a bit weird, but that's probably just her being jealous. Some of the other girls are pretty upset, but she took it the worst. Apparently she was planning on giving him her number when the first half of the course ends because she only signed up for that much."

That's right, sucker! Danika wiped the smirk off of her face. "Oh wow. Wouldn't that be weird with him being our professor though?"

Julie shrugged. "I don't think so. He's not super old or anything and it's not like she'd ever have to worry about having him as a professor again. Our cousin married a man who's eleven years older and they look just fine together."

"Good to know," Danika mumbled before excusing herself to the shower to prepare for the beach trip the next day. Instead of classes, the first full day in Corfu would be spent at the beach and exploring. There would be a short quiz on the readings and then the class would head down to the beach to do whatever they wanted.
