Two more chapters to go (and that's including the Epilogue) 😭The good news is that I'm already passed the halfway mark for NaNoWriMo so book two will definitely be done on schedule, and ready to be released in the spring of 2021! Maybe before that if my life plans end up changing by then. Thank you again for sticking with Apollo's Prophecy for this long and you know the drill—don't forget to vote if you like it and let me know what you think about this chapter. - Amy

When classes started, Danika felt much more at ease than she had for months. There would be no more chasing evil undead mythological figures or mean goddesses. From now on, she could focus on school and living as normal of a life as possible.

Danika's parents insisted on visiting the night before her classes started. They were blissfully unaware that Danika was now an immortal goddess with powers and that she and Apollo were considered married in Olympus. They were also still ignorant of the fact that Olympus or the gods even existed.

"I can't wait for you to finish school so we can have this wedding," Danika's mother sighed.

Danika laughed. "We? You realize that you aren't the one getting married, right?"

"That's beside the point," her mother replied, slightly pursing her lips. "You're our only child so this is important to your father and I."

"Speak for yourself," Danika's father grumbled. "I hate wedding planning."

Apollo laughed at his response. "We'll leave it up to the ladies to do most of the planning. I'm sure we'll mostly be responsible for carrying things."

Danika's father raised his beer in a cheers with Apollo. "That I can handle."

Since it was Danika's first year, she had a wide range of classes she could take with a few general humanities courses that were required. She picked law classes for most of her free choices, but also decided to take a second-year classics course since she already had her first year prerequisite credits from the summer. As her electives, Danika picked visual arts and graphic design.

Apollo used his free time away from Danika to begin working on his book again, as well as freelancing as an editor for a few journals while also doing most of the house work. Danika insisted she could handle it, but he wanted her to focus her time on school and relax in her free time.

Olympus was still in lockdown mode since Hera and Ares hadn't returned. Danika had insisted that Hera was no longer a threat, but the King of the Gods didn't believe it was possible. While there was no reason to believe that Hera was plotting against anyone again, Danika was starting to doubt her judgement of the goddess. Was letting them go a mistake?

Danika knew deep inside that Hera was truly hurt and needed time to heal. Ares being with her would only help. It proved that he truly loved his mother, despite fearing Zeus.

In her free time with Apollo, Danika worked on her powers. She wanted to transport herself around without help, but while most of her attempts were successful, she still needed a lot of practice. In one of her sessions she accidentally ended up in Brazil. Thankfully Hermes was around and was able to locate and bring her back in under thirty minutes.

The only power Danika seemed to have a grasp on was spying on others through her drawings. She had been successful in all her attempts, even accidentally catching her parents in a bubble bath, except for when she tried to find Hera. She could no longer see the goddess and could only see Ares when he was away from the goddess.

When the weekend arrived, Danika and Apollo made their way back to Olympus to help train her further and learn about what other abilities she had. She had only attempted drawing people, but decided to draw objects and see if anything happened. When drawing Athena's sword, Danika cut her finger on its edge, realizing she could make them materialize.
