Hello and happy Friday! This chapter is a bit short because I cut out the mature scene at the end for Wattpad, but if you want to read it you can check out the external link to read the mature scenes after reading this chapter in a google doc that's only viewable with the link. There are only six more weeks until this story is over, which makes me really sad, but also excited because once it's marked as complete, Wattpadders who only read completed stories might discover it. I'm also going to attempt NaNoWriMo again this year to write book two in this series. If you're participating, send me a PM here on Wattpad and we can add each other as friends! Thank you again so much for the continuing support on this story. The votes and comments mean so much to me and it helps get the story discovered by more. I love you ❤️ And welcome to new readers! Enjoy! - Amy

Two days of preparations went by in a blur and Danika found herself sitting in an expensive chair, having her hair styled by The Goddess of Love and Beauty herself. "Ouch," Danika cringed when Aphrodite pulled a strand a bit too tight.

"Sorry," Aphrodite apologized and laughed nervously. "It's been a few centuries since I've done someone else's hair like this,"

Danika smiled up at her. "Well I feel honoured that you're the one doing it," she smiled at Aphrodite.

"You look beautiful," Persephone said from the doorway, holding a basket filled with flowers.

Danika grinned at her. "Thanks, so do you," she said, admiring the goddess' purple robes.

Persephone set her basket down and pulled out a plastic pouch. "I brought you the gold rope I wore in my hair on my wedding day. Consider it your something borrowed."

Danika smiled. "I guess I have a lot of new somethings then," she joked.

"For your real wedding we'll make sure you have the old and the blue." Aphrodite carefully weaved the golden rope through Danika's updo before securing everything with the remaining bobby pins. "Perfect. You're all done."

Danika excitedly clapped her hands together and stood up. "We only have a few minutes left so who's going to help me get into my wedding robes?"

Both Aphrodite and Persephone helped wrap Danika up in the white silk that Arachne had completed in record time before adding a few final touches.

Danika smiled at her friends. It had only been a few months since she'd learned that the gods were real and Danika thought Aphrodite and Persephone hated each other because of a man. She was glad to learn that Adonis was essentially a player in ancient times who tried to pit them against each other, but only ended up bringing them closer together.

"Ready?" Persephone asked, holding her basket of flowers. "I'll walk in first and set the flowers down around where you'll be standing. Aphrodite will walk you there along with Hermes, who should be appearing any second."

Danika nodded, but jumped when she saw someone appear in her peripheral vision. "Gods, Hermes! Are you trying to kill me?"

Hermes chuckled. "You can at least pretend to be happy to see me." He brought Danika into a gentle hug, careful not to wrinkle her robes. "Apollo is one lucky god."

Danika smiled. "Thank you. Are you ready to bring me to the Theatre of Heaven?"

     "Whenever you are," Hermes smiled.

Danika looked around the room one last time after her friends disappeared, confirming they hadn't forgotten anything behind. She positioned her ring correctly before looping her arm through Hermes'. "Let's do this."
