Ari's POV
So far the remaining of this week has gone surprisingly well since Tuesday. I was expecting some type of drama from Eric based on what I did, but I guess the universe is turning soft on me as I was able to avoid him all week, and finally its friday, the last day of school for the week, but it also means the weekend is next, and that for me is no where near exciting.
During weekends, my boss allows me to not work and gives me those days as my free days, meaning I work from Mondays to Fridays, but the fact that I have nothing doing during the weekend and I stay home, work always seems to find me, double the usual. Sometimes I try to go out on those days and just sit someplace far from the house till the evening, but that's never worked because I always start thinking scary thoughts that send me into panic mode and I find myself running back home, so instead of the stress of going out and running back home, I just embrace the work as it becomes my safe haven for that period of time.
But this week, with the kind of luck I seemed to have acquired for this past couple of days, I decide to take my chances and ask the universe for one more favor, let something come up to keep me occupied at least for this weekend, I need the rest from all the work.
The bell rings bringing me out of my trance, yes I zoned out during a class, but that's because I already knew this part of what the teacher was talking about. I gather my stuff once everyone has successfully made their way out of class, and head to my next class. Once I reach the class, which is geography by the way, I make my way towards my usually sit at the middle back, my head down to avoid drawing attention. Once I'm sitted, the door of the class opens again causing everyone plus me to look up, but I immediately regret my decision as it wasn't the teacher coming in, but a regular stone faced Eric walking in.
Now I know I should have dropped my head immediately I noticed it was him, but at times like this I wonder what's wrong with me, because instead of looking away I continue to stare, and I stare till his eyes catches mine making me freeze, until I finally am able to think again and I break the eye contact quickly distracting myself with my notes which are currently placed in front of me. I still feel his glare at the side of my head letting me know he definitely hasn't stopped staring. He makes his way to his sit, but I can still tell his eyes are still on me, and still with the glare, and if looks could kill, I think we're all well aware of where I'd be at the moment.
Thankfully and finally, the teacher makes her way into the class, her usual chirpy self drawing everyone's attention, sometimes I wonder how she seems to be so energetic all the time, but at the moment I'm thankful for the distraction, even if he definitely hasn't stopped staring, I'm distracted by the feeling his stare sends.
"OK class, isnt it a wonderful morning, well its about to be with the news I'm about to announce. So I spoke to the principal about this and he gave the permission, we're going to have geographical observation class, and its open to anyone who wants to join in. In this class we will be focusing more on the easily seen and physical part of geographic studies in our environment and it will focus on practical observation. Now this class won't add much to your grade so don't think joining will give you extra marks, I want you to join by your own free will, and trust me, we're going to have lots of fun in this class." She says clapping her hands and smiling with so much excitement you'd think we gave her a good news.
I'm kind of thinking of joining the class though, I love geography classes, and now there's an opportunity for special practical classes on it so of course I'm thinking of joining, but I need her to finish all the information about it first before I decide, just in case there's a hidden downside.
"Also, since this is a class that has just been approved, we are going to need some days outside school to try and cover up on things as quickly as possible, so that means some of your Saturdays will be taken, starting with this coming Saturday." she saying this makes practically everyone in class start their whispers of how they're not going to sacrifice their weekends, but me I'm ecstatic with this information, my prayers have been answered, I'm definitely taking this class.
