I'll Fix You (EDITING)

chapter 9

Ari's POV

The drive to the park is very uneventful, and everyone is trying their possible best to be as quiet as one can be in this kind of situation. Eric's pissed off state right now, is one that makes everyone pray that this bus drive ends as soon as possible, and finally that prayer is answered.

As soon as the bus comes to a complete stop, and the doors are open, everyone quickly exits the bus happy to be away from Eric at the moment. But I stay back, and before you start raining your insults on how stupid I am for doing that, I'm only staying because I'm having an inner battle with myself, to know if I should find out if he already knew how he wanted us to go about the project, or if I was to do everything myself, and to be honest I wouldn't mind that as I have no idea how I am supposed to work on this project with him seeing as I can barely form a sentence with him here right now.

I finally decide to live, hoping he will probably inform me on that later when he's much more calm and settled, and if not I'll probably do everything myself. Once I'm out of the boss, I take my time to take in the view before me, and honestly I'm in awe to say the least. This place is amazing, really broad, and most definitely the most beautiful place I've ever seen.

The areas with only grass has some  playing equipments at a particular side, and I'm sure those are for the kids as I can see lots of them running around the place, there's also a spot which is more calm, and I can see people walking around or just sitting and talking. Ms Molly was right, this is a perfect hangout spot, its really peaceful. And then there's the forestry area, and it looks nice from the outer parts, the thick green trees Flooding it makes it look even more beautiful, and natural, it does seem like an amazing place for the observation.

I'm cut off from my thoughts by Ms Molly telling every one to gather around.

"OK everyone, I know you must be excited, and you can't wait to explore this place, but please let's not for get why we are here. As of today, you guys are my responsibility and I am not about to answer questions from your parents regarding your whereabouts, so please stay together, if your going anywhere please go with your partner and inform me first, and if we are able to round up on time you will be given some extra time to explore the place more, is that OK?." She asks

"Yes ma'am!!" A chorus reply is given, the excitement level seems to have gone up as they don't even wait for her to say anything more and head towards the area for our project.

Seeing that everyone was moving with their partners in a straight line according to Ms Molly's instructions, and seeing that my partner didn't seem ready in the slightest to join me, I decide once again to stay still and just see what happens next. Ms Molly, after directing the class on where to go, notices my position and walks to me.

"Ariana, what are you still doing here?, shouldn't you be joining the others?." She asks

"Uhm yes ma'am, b-but my partner....." I trail off hoping she got what I was trying to say.

"Oh darling, its OK, I'm sure he'll come around you could still go ahead if you want." She says sympathy licking from all her paths.

"No i-its ok, I'd like t-to wait." I tell her

"Are you sure?, you don't have to-" she tries to say buy I cut her off.

"I know Ms molly, i-im sure." I say. She gives me a wondering look, then a small smile which I don't understand, then she nods and walks off.

Now I know waiting might be a stupid thing to do, but I also know joining the group alone, I'd be too uncomfortable with the awkward feeling I would get from doing everything alone instead of it being with my partner as arranged, so I'd rather wait and hope to get along with him, for the project's sake.
